Journal ArticleDOI

A new approach for the formation of alloy nanoparticles: laser synthesis of gold-silver alloy from gold-silver colloidal mixtures†

TL;DR: In this article, a new methodology was developed to synthesize gold and silver alloy nanoparticles by laser irradiation of mixtures consisting of gold and Silver nanoparticles, and the resulting nanoparticles were used to construct a gold-silver alloy.
Book ChapterDOI

A Hybrid solid-state storage architecture for the performance, energy consumption, and lifetime improvement

TL;DR: A hybrid architecture for the NAND flash memory storage, of which the log region is implemented using phase change random access memory (PRAM), which has the following advantages: the PRAM log region allows in-place updating so that it significantly improves the usage efficiency of log pages by eliminating out-of-date log records.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of W boson production in PbPb and pp collisions at sNN=2.76 TeV

S. Chatrchyan, +2184 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a measurement of W-boson production in PbPb collisions carried out at a nucleon-nucleon (NN) centre-of-mass energy sqrt(s[NN]) of 2.76 TeV at the LHC using the CMS detector.
Journal ArticleDOI

Parameter estimation for compact binary coalescence signals with the first generation gravitational-wave detector network

J. Aasi, +896 more
- 04 Sep 2013 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a selection of simulated signals added either in hardware or software to the data collected by the two LIGO instruments and the Virgo detector during their most recent joint science run, including a "blind injection" where the signal was not initially revealed to the collaboration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Germline DNA-repair Gene Mutations and Outcomes in Men with Metastatic Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer Receiving First-line Abiraterone and Enzalutamide.

TL;DR: Outcomes to first-line NHT appear better in mCRPC patients harboring germline BRCA/ATM mutations (vs no mutations), but not for patients with other non-BRCA /ATM germline mutations, and these results require prospective validation.
