Journal ArticleDOI

Strange Particle Production in pp Collisions at sqrt(s) = 0.9 and 7 TeV

Vardan Khachatryan, +2199 more
TL;DR: In this article, the spectra of hadrons were measured in proton-proton collisions, recorded by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC, at centre-of-mass energies of 0.9 and 7 TeV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Observation of Charge-Dependent Azimuthal Correlations in p−Pb Collisions and Its Implication for the Search for the Chiral Magnetic Effect

Vardan Khachatryan, +2277 more
TL;DR: The observed differences between the same and opposite sign correlations, as functions of multiplicity and η gap between the two charged particles, are of similar magnitude in p-Pb and PbPb collisions at the same multiplicities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for physics beyond the standard model in final states with a lepton and missing transverse energy in proton-proton collisions at √s=8 TeV

Vardan Khachatryan, +2142 more
- 22 May 2015 -
TL;DR: In this article, a search for new physics in proton-proton collisions having final states with an electron or muon and missing transverse energy was presented, and exclusion limits of up to 3.28 TeV at a 95% confidence level for a W' boson with the same couplings as that of the standard model W boson were determined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for new physics in the multijet and missing transverse momentum final state in proton-proton collisions at √s=7TeV

S. Chatrchyan, +2245 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for physics beyond the standard model is performed in events with at least three jets and large missing transverse momentum produced in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of √s=7 TeV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for gravitational waves from compact binary coalescence in LIGO and Virgo data from S5 and VSR1

J. Abadie, +716 more
- 05 Nov 2010 -
TL;DR: The first search for gravitational waves from compact binary coalescence using data from the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory and Virgo detectors was reported in this article, which focused on signals from binary mergers with a total mass between 2 and 35M (circle dot).
