Promoting solution phase discharge in Li-O2 batteries containing weakly solvating electrolyte solutions

TL;DR: This work demonstrates that introduction of the additive 2,5-di-tert-butyl-1,4-benzoquinone (DBBQ) promotes solution phase formation of Li2O2 in low-polarity and weakly solvating electrolyte solutions while simultaneously suppressing direct reduction to Li1O2 on the cathode surface, which would otherwise lead to Li2 O2 film growth and premature cell death.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for new phenomena in final states with an energetic jet and large missing transverse momentum in pp collisions at √=s=8 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2818 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for new phenomena in final states with an energetic jet and large missing transverse momentum was performed using 20.3 fb(-1) of root s = 8 TeV data collected in 2012.

TernGrad: Ternary Gradients to Reduce Communication in Distributed Deep Learning

TL;DR: TernGrad as discussed by the authors uses ternary gradients to accelerate distributed deep learning in data parallelism, which can reduce the communication cost of synchronizing gradients and parameters by ternarizing and gradient clipping.
Journal ArticleDOI

A color image cryptosystem based on dynamic DNA encryption and chaos

TL;DR: A four-wing hyperchaotic system is used to provide pseudo-random chaotic sequences, SHA 384 hash function of the plain image and external parameters are combined to compute its initial values, and one-time-pad encryption policy makes the proposed encryption effectively resist plaintext attacks.
Journal ArticleDOI

Constraints on the spin-parity and anomalous HVV couplings of the Higgs boson in proton collisions at 7 and 8 TeV

Vardan Khachatryan, +2117 more
- 13 Jul 2015 -
TL;DR: In this article, the spin-parity and tensor structure of the interactions of the recently discovered Higgs boson is performed using the H to ZZ, Z gamma*, gamma* gamma* to 4 l, H to WW to l nu l nu, and H to gamma gamma decay modes.
