TL;DR: In this paper, microwave assisted synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) has been demonstrated using leaf extract of Fraxinus excelsior reducing aqueous AgNO3 solution.
Abstract: The biosynthesis of nanoparticles has been proposed as a cost effective and environmentally benevolent alternative to chemical and physical methods. In the present study, microwave assisted synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) has been demonstrated using leaf extract of Fraxinus excelsior reducing aqueous AgNO3 solution. The synthesized nanoparticles have been characterized on the basis of fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV–Vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. The presence of a characteristic surface plasmon resonance (SPR) absorption band at 425 nm in UV–Vis reveals the reduction of silver metal ions into silver nanoparticles. FT-IR analysis was carried out to probe the possible functional group involved in the synthesis of AgNPs. Further leaf extracts and AgNPs were evaluated for antiradical scavenging activity by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) assay.

TL;DR: The results demonstrate that activities of carbohydrate metabolism enzymes are restored by short-term reperfusion following 30 min ischemia.
Abstract: Background: Ischemia results in rapid decline in mitochondrial electron transfer, resulting in decreased ATP levels, and fall in intracellular pH. The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of ischemia and reper- fusion on the activities of enzymes of carbohydrate metabolism in rat kidney. Methods: Ischemia was induced by occlusion of the left renal artery for specified times. The activities of Na-K ATPase, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), Malate dehydrogenase (MDH), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH), malic enzyme (ME), glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase), and fructose-1, 6-bisphosphatase (FBPase) were studied in the homogenates of whole (WC), superficial (SCH), and juxtamedullary (JMCH) cortices and medulla (MH). Results: The activities of LDH, G6Pase, FBPase, and ME rapidly increased whereas those of MDH and G6PDH de- creased by brief ischemia of 5min both in the cortex and medulla. Prolonged ischemia (15-60 min) caused progressive decrease in the enzyme activities. Reperfusion for 60 min caused complete recovery of the enzyme activities studied. Conclusions: The results demonstrate that activities of carbohydrate metabolism enzymes are restored by short-term reperfusion following 30 min ischemia.

TL;DR: In this article, a first-order all-pass section (APS) was introduced employing a single second-generation current conveyor and three passive components, and a translinear conveyor version of the circuit employing only two passive components was also proposed.
Abstract: A first-order all-pass section (APS) is introduced employing a single second-generation current conveyor and three passive components. The translinear conveyor version of the circuit employing only two passive components is also proposed. A fully tunable version of the circuit employing two current controlled conveyors (CCCIIs) and a single capacitor is finally derived. All the three versions of APS can be operated both in voltage as well as current mode without changing the circuit configuration. As an application, a quadrature oscillator providing two quadrature currents and two phase-shifted voltage outputs simultaneously, is realized using the proposed APS. RSPICE simulation results for the translinear-C APS, and the translinear-C quadrature oscillator are included to verify the theory.
