Abstract: Visible light-induced degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) and eosin Y (EO) in a heterogeneous TiO2 P-25/EO/RhB system was investigated in the present work. The results showed that the photodegradation of RhB is enhanced significantly when EO is introduced into the P-25/RhB system. Under optimal conditions (50 mg P-25, 20 mg L−1 EO), RhB (4 mg L−1) almost decomposed completely after 35 min of visible light irradiation, though EO was photodegraded simultaneously. The possible photodegradation mechanism was studied by the examination of active species HO•, O2•− anions, or dye radical cations through adding their scavengers such as methanol, t-butanol, benzoquinone, EDTA, and the I− anion. In addition, the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spin trapping technique was also used to monitor the active oxygen species formed in the photocatalytic process. Abstract: Photocatalytic reduction of CO2 into energy-rich carbon compounds has attracted increasing attention. However, it is still a challenge to selectively and effectively convert CO2 to a desirable reaction product. Herein, we report a design of a synergistic photocatalyst for selective reduction of CO2 to CO by using a covalent organic framework bearing single Ni sites (Ni-TpBpy), in which electrons transfer from photosensitizer to Ni sites for CO production by the activated CO2 reduction under visible-light irradiation. Ni-TpBpy exhibits an excellent activity, giving a 4057 μmol g–1 of CO in a 5 h reaction with a 96% selectivity over H2 evolution. More importantly, when the CO2 partial pressure was reduced to 0.1 atm, 76% selectivity for CO production is still obtained. Abstract: The reliability of the microinverter is a very important feature that will determine the reliability of the ac-module photovoltaic (PV) system. Recently, many topologies and techniques have been proposed to improve its reliability. This paper presents a thorough study for different power decoupling techniques in single-phase microinverters for grid-tie PV applications. These power decoupling techniques are categorized into three groups in terms of the decoupling capacitor locations: 1) PV-side decoupling; 2) dc-link decoupling; and 3) ac-side decoupling. Various techniques and topologies are presented, compared, and scrutinized in scope of the size of decoupling capacitor, efficiency, and control complexity. Also, a systematic performance comparison is presented for potential power decoupling topologies and techniques.
