Effects of RuPeng15 Powder (RPP15) on Monosodium Urate Crystal-Induced Gouty Arthritis in Rats

TL;DR: It is concluded that RPP15 may be a promising candidate for the development of a new treatment for gout and its activity of antigout may be partially related to inhibiting TNF-α, IL-1β,IL-8, and NF-κB p65 expression in the synovial tissues.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genomic Influences on Hyperuricemia and Gout.

TL;DR: Three GWAS loci contain uric acid transporter genes, which are highly likely to be causal and results in internalization of ABCG2, which can be rescued by drugs, but identification of causal genes at other urate loci is challenging.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oral Treatment With an Engineered Uricase, ALLN-346, Reduces Hyperuricemia, and Uricosuria in Urate Oxidase-Deficient Mice.

TL;DR: Oral enzyme therapy with engineered urate oxidase (ALLN-346) designed to degrade urate in the intestinal tract has the potential to reduce hyperuricemia and the renal burden of filtered urates in patients with hyperuricaemia and gout with and without CKD.
Journal ArticleDOI

Some historical remarks on microcrystalline arthritis (gout and chondrocalcinosis).

TL;DR: Another form of microcrystalline arthritis, chondrocalcinosis, was identified as being a rheumatic disorder different from gout in the 1960s, and was first identified in 1958 by Dušan Žitnˇan and Štefan Sit'aj in a few Slovak families.
Journal ArticleDOI

Colchicinoids from Colchicum crocifolium Boiss. (Colchicaceae)

TL;DR: A new colchicinoid from Colchicum crocifolium Boiss was isolated and identified as N,N-dimethyl-N-deacetyl-(−)-cornigerine, along with four known compounds, but new to the species.

A Laboratory manual

M. Ashburner
TL;DR: To develop a program to print the barcodes using two commonly uses command sets and hence evaluates their ease of use for such applications, students should be able to program dot matrix printers, by manipulating bit level information and ink jet printers using page description language, such as PCL.
