Exclusion of an Exotic Top Quark with -4/3 Electric Charge Using Soft Lepton Tagging

T. Aaltonen, +612 more
TL;DR: This work uses soft lepton taggers to determine the flavor of the b jets, which it uses to reconstruct the top quark's electric charge and exclude an exotic top quarks with -4/3 charge at 95% confidence level, the strongest exclusion of the exotic charge scenario and the first to use soft leptons for this purpose.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for low-scale gravity signatures in multi-jet final states with the ATLAS detector at s√ = 8 TeV

Georges Aad, +2875 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for evidence of physics beyond the Standard Model in final states with multiple high-transverse-momentum jets is performed using 20.3 fb−1 of proton-proton collision data at (Formula presented.) = 8 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC.
Journal ArticleDOI

First observation of vector boson pairs in a hadronic final state at the tevatron collider.

T. Aaltonen, +635 more
TL;DR: The first observation in hadronic collisions of the electroweak production of vector boson pairs (VV, V = W, Z) where one boson decays to a dijet final state is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for WW and WZ resonances decaying to electron, missing ET, and two jets in pp̄ collisions at √s=1.96TeV.

T. Aaltonen, +619 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors search for resonances decaying into a pair of on-shell gauge bosons, WW or WZ, where one W decays into an electron and a neutrino, and the other boson decomposes into two jets.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the masses and widths of the bottom baryons Σb± and Σb*±

T. Aaltonen, +512 more
- 16 May 2012 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented improved measurements of the masses and first measurements of natural widths of the four bottom baryon resonance states of the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron.
