Performance of top-quark and W -boson tagging with ATLAS in Run 2 of the LHC

Morad Aaboud, +2945 more
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of taggers for hadronically decaying top quarks and W bosons in pp collisions at s = 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Muon reconstruction efficiency and momentum resolution of the ATLAS experiment in proton–proton collisions at √s=7 TeV in 2010

Georges Aad, +2900 more
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of the muon reconstruction in the analysis of proton-proton collisions at root s = 7TeV at the LHC was described in terms of reconstruction and isolation efficiencies and momentum resolutions for different classes of reconstructed muons.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for direct top squark pair production in events with a Z boson, b -jets and missing transverse momentum in √s = 8 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2882 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for direct top squark pair production using events with at least two leptons including a same-flavour opposite-sign pair with invariant mass consistent with the boson mass, jets tagged as originating from -quarks and missing transverse momentum is performed with proton-proton collision data at collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC in 2012.
Journal ArticleDOI

Commissioning of the ATLAS Muon Spectrometer with Cosmic Rays

Georges Aad, +2661 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of the trigger and tracking chambers, their alignment, the detector control system, the data acquisition and the analysis programs are discussed. And the results show that the detector is close to the design performance and that the Muon Spectrometer is ready to detect muons produced in high energy protonproton collisions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for squarks and gluinos in events with an isolated lepton, jets, and missing transverse momentum at s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Morad Aaboud, +2918 more
- 21 Oct 2016 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of a search for gluinos in final states with an isolated electron or muon, multiple jets and large missing transverse momentum using proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV are presented.
