Raman spectrum of graphene and graphene layers.

TLDR
This work shows that graphene's electronic structure is captured in its Raman spectrum that clearly evolves with the number of layers, and allows unambiguous, high-throughput, nondestructive identification of graphene layers, which is critically lacking in this emerging research area.
Abstract
Graphene is the two-dimensional building block for carbon allotropes of every other dimensionality We show that its electronic structure is captured in its Raman spectrum that clearly evolves with the number of layers The D peak second order changes in shape, width, and position for an increasing number of layers, reflecting the change in the electron bands via a double resonant Raman process The G peak slightly down-shifts This allows unambiguous, high-throughput, nondestructive identification of graphene layers, which is critically lacking in this emerging research area

Effective Suppression of Dendritic Lithium Growth Using an Ultrathin Coating of Nitrogen and Sulfur Codoped Graphene Nanosheets on Polymer Separator for Lithium Metal Batteries.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that nitrogen and sulfur codoped graphene (NSG) nanosheets coated on a polyethylene separator stabilized the lithium electrode in lithium metal batteries by effectively suppressing dendrite growth and maintaining a uniform ionic flux on the metal surface.

Atomically Dispersed Hierarchically Ordered Porous Fe-N-C Electrocatalyst for High Performance Electrocatalytic Oxygen Reduction in Zn-Air Battery

TL;DR: In this article, a 3D hierarchically ordered microporous-mesoporous-macroporous nitrogen doped carbon (3DOM Fe-N-C-900) was used as an efficient oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalyst.
Journal ArticleDOI

Facile synthesis of novel graphene sponge for high performance capacitive deionization

TL;DR: The results indicate that GS should be a promising candidate for CDI electrode, due to the unique 3D interconnected porous structure, large accessible surface area and low charge transfer resistance.
