Precision measurement of the mass of the $\tau$ lepton

M. Ablikim, +375 more
- 07 Jul 2014 -
TL;DR: In this paper, an energy scan near the tau pair production threshold has been performed using the BESIII detector and the mass of the t lepton is measured from a maximum likelihood fit to the t pair production cross-section data to be m(tau) = 1776.91 +/- 0.12_0.10 -0.13 _ MeV/c(2), which is currently the most precise value in a single measurement.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for new resonances decaying to a W or Z boson and a Higgs boson in the ℓ + ℓ − bb¯, ℓνbb¯, and νν¯bb¯ channels with pp collisions at s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Morad Aaboud, +2890 more
- 10 Feb 2017 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for new resonances decaying to a $W$ or $Z$ boson and a Higgs boson in collisions at the Large Hadron Collider using a total integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb$^{-1}
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for Magnetic Monopoles and Stable High-Electric-Charge Objects in 13 Tev Proton-Proton Collisions with the ATLAS Detector

Georges Aad, +2921 more
TL;DR: A search for magnetic monopoles and high-electric-charge objects is presented using 34.4 fb^{-1} of 13 TeV pp collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC during 2015 and 2016, improving by approximately a factor of 5 the constraints on the direct production of magnetic monopole carrying one or two Dirac magnetic charges.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for heavy long-lived multi-charged particles in pp collisions at √s = 8 TeV using the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2817 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for heavy long-lived multi-charged particles is performed using the ATLAS detector at the LHC using data collected in 2012 at root s = 8TeV from pp collisions corresponding to an integrated lumi...
Journal ArticleDOI

Search forBs0→μ+μ−andB0→μ+μ−Decays inppCollisions ats=7TeV

S. Chatrchyan, +2233 more
TL;DR: In this article, a search for the rare decays was performed in collisions at the LHC with a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $1.14, and the resulting upper limits on the branching fractions were shown to be l1.9 and l4.6 at 95% confidence level.
