A High Productivity/Low Maintenance Approach to High-performance Computation for Biomedicine: Four Case Studies

TL;DR: A high- productivity/low-maintenance (HP/LM) approach to HPC that is based on establishing a collaborative relationship between the bioinformaticist and HPC expert that respects the former's codes and minimizes the latter's efforts is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural genomics: a new era for pharmaceutical research.

TL;DR: A report on the 15th Annual Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine Symposium on structural genomics in pharmaceutical design, Princeton, USA, 24-25 October 2001.

GRAM: A generalized model to predict the molecular effect of a non-coding variant in a cell-type specific manner

TL;DR: GRAM is developed, a generalized model to predict molecular effect of non-coding variants in multiple cell types for different experimental platforms and noted that changing the insertion position of the construct relative to the reporter gene gives very different results, highlighting the importance of carefully defining the functional target the model is predicting.
