21 Oct 2008TL;DR: The use of the brand-new procedure model which is part of the VDI/VDE guideline 2182 within the VAN project was applied and the first time use of this model was a challenge and also a benefit for the project.
Abstract: Safety related applications in the industrial automation area are becoming more and more important. For the safety aspects in an automation plant there is the generally standard IEC 61508 which is a basic functional safety standard applicable to all kinds of industry. The intended functions of a safety system, with their (several) safety functions, must be executed under defined fault conditions with a defined high probability. However safety systems are more or less closed systems. In case of using open communication systems within a safety system like wireless communication (e.g. Bluetooth, WLAN) or particularly if private/ public networks are used (e.g. Ethernet, Internet), the consideration of IT-Security is absolutely necessary and required respectively. The use of the brand-new procedure model which is part of the VDI/VDE guideline 2182 within the VAN project was applied. The first time use of this model was a challenge and also a benefit for the project.

20 Jan 2009TL;DR: In this paper, a rotational angle sensor consisting of an optical radiation source and a detector, where a shading structure is arranged in a beam path between the source and the detector, whose position changes with the angle of rotation of the rotational axis, is provided.
Abstract: The rotational angle sensor comprises an optical radiation source (1) and a detector (2), where a shading structure is arranged in a beam path between the radiation source and the detector, whose position changes with a rotational axis (D). A rotational angle of the rotational axis is provided, such that the shading structure is partly illuminated by a radiation (3) of the radiation source depending on the angle of rotation of the rotational axis. The shading structure is formed on glass or on translucent plastic material.

14 Mar 2011TL;DR: In this article, a multipolar cable connector for connecting a multi-core strand cable is provided, which has a plug part which has several contact elements formed as contact bars, and a strand support element has pivotally mounted hook elements, which clamp and affix the strands introduced into the strand support elements between the hook elements pivoted in the direction of the strands and an interior wall of the strand supports by means of a pivot movement in an assembled condition.
Abstract: A cable connector, in particular a multipolar cable connector, for connecting a multi-core stranded cable is provided. The connector has a plug part which has several contact elements formed as contact bars. The connector further has a cable uptake which has a strand support element for receiving the strands of the multi-core stranded cable. The strand support element has pivotally mounted hook elements, which clamp and affix the strands introduced into the strand support element between the hook elements pivoted in the direction of the strands and an interior wall of the strand support element by means of a pivot movement in an assembled condition.

03 Sep 2015TL;DR: In this paper, a Zustandsauskunft fur Geratezertifikates is found, in which einen Positivnachweis der Existenz und Gultigkeit des Gerates is umfasst, sowie alternativ oder zusatzlich ein spezielles Giltigkeitsmodell is anzuwenden, w.h.p.

28 Nov 1997TL;DR: In this paper, a decentralized fault detector within each subscriber (Tln 1,Tln 2,Tlnn) of a serial transmission network is used to provide a fault picture from the fault reports provided by individual fault detectors, which is transmitted to a central diagnosis device via the transmission network for evaluation.
Abstract: The device has a decentralized fault detector within each subscriber (Tln1,Tln2,Tlnn) of a serial transmission network. The obtained test results are fed to a diagnosis and report manager, to provide a fault picture from the fault reports provided by the individual fault detectors, which is transmitted to a central diagnosis device (DE) via the transmission network for evaluation.
