Abstract: A VPN connection is established between two networks ( 1, 6 ), with two communication devices ( 2, 7 ) assigned to the given networks ( 1, 6 ), a transmission device ( 11 ), and an identifying means. An initial VPN data package is transmitted from the first communication device ( 2 ) to the transmission device ( 11 ). The second communication device is identified ( 7 ) to the transmission device ( 11 ) through use of the identifying means. A second VPN data package is transmitted from the second communicating device ( 7 ) to the transmission device ( 11 ). The transmission device ( 11 ) provides an initial VPN configuration parameter ( 12 ) for establishing the VPN connection between the communication devices ( 2, 7 ) for the first communication device ( 2 ), and the transmission device ( 11 ) provides a second VPN configuration parameter ( 13 ) for establishing the VPN connection between the communication devices ( 2, 7 ) for the second communication device ( 7 ).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a field device (1) for carrying out measurement and/or automation tasks in a wide-area automation network. The method comprises the following steps: detecting the position of the field device (1) in the field device (1); generating a data record identifying the field device (1) with the position and a unique identifier of the field device (1); transmitting the data record from the field device (1) to a server (10) of the automation network; assigning a descriptor to the field device (1) identified by the data record; transmitting the descriptor from the server (10) to the field device (1); and communicating in the automation network using the descriptor. The invention further relates to a corresponding field device (1) and a server 10 for carrying out the method.

Abstract: A screening connection device for a circuit board mounted within a housing possesses a plug component attached to the exterior of a housing wall by means of securing screws that may be coupled to a socket component mounted to the interior of the housing wall through a cutout in the wall. The plug component includes a screening connection in electrical contact with the securing screws to connect the shield of a cable connected to the plug component whose electrical lines may be connected to the circuit board via the plug component and the socket component. In order to provide contact elements between the securing screws of the plug component and the conductor on the circuit board provided to conduct the screen potential that are simple to manufacture, that provide positive contact, and that are robust components, screening plates are mountable so that they are fixed to the circuit board so that at least one conductor for connection of the screen potential may be brought into contact. Each of these screening plates includes a securing flange that rests against the interior side of the housing wall, and a threaded socket to engage one of the securing screws of the plug component.

Vorgesehen ist das Verarbeiten von Daten mittels der sicheren Hardware- und/oder Software-Komponente eines ersten der Sub-Systeme zu funktional sicheren Daten eines ersten Sicherheitslevels und Hinzufugen zu diesen Daten durch dieses erste Sub-System wenigstens ein Kennzeichnungsattribut, welches die Eignung dieser Daten fur den Einsatz dieses ersten Sicherheitslevels kennzeichnet; das Ubertragen dieser Daten einschlieslich des hinzugefugten Kennzeichnungsattributs von diesem ersten Sub-System an ein zweites dieser Sub-Systeme, und Empfangen dieser Daten einschlieslich des hinzugefugten Kennzeichnungsattributs durch dieses zweite Sub-System; und das Prufen des empfangenen Kennzeichnungsattributs durch das zweite Sub-System mittels dessen sicherer Hardware- und/oder Software-Komponente dahingehend, ob der Sicherheitslevel, den dieses Kennzeichnungsattribut kennzeichnet gegenuber dem Sicherheitslevel, welchem das zweite Sub-System genugt, gleich oder ungleich ist, und, wenn die Prufung ungleiche Sicherheitslevel ergibt, das funktional sichere Weiterverarbeiten der Daten basierend auf dem geringeren Sicherheitslevel.

Abstract: A plug-in connector part includes a housing and a plug-in portion arranged on the housing and that can be brought into plugged engagement with an associated mating plug-in connector part so as to electrically contact the plug-in connector part and the mating plug-in connector part. A locking element is movably arranged on the housing and can lock the plug-in connector part to the mating plug-in connector part, the locking element being movable between a locked position, in which the plug-in connector part is locked to the mating plug-in connector part, and an unlocked position, in which the plug-in connector part can be removed from the mating plug-in connector part. A blocking element is arranged on the housing and guided on the housing so as to be adjustable in an adjustment direction. The blocking element can block the locking element in the locked position. The blocking element includes a handle element.
