Chromatin accessibility dynamics of neurogenic niche cells reveal a reversible decline in neural stem cell migration during aging

TL;DR: In this article, the authors profile the chromatin landscape of five different cell types freshly isolated from the subventricular zone neurogenic niche of young and old mice and find that quiescent and activated NSCs exhibit opposite migratory deficits during aging.

Probing the diabetes and colorectal cancer relationship using gene-environment interaction analyses

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used data from three genetic consortia (CCFR, CORECT, GECCO) and undertook genome-wide gene-environment interaction analyses with colorectal cancer risk, including interaction tests of genetics(G)xdiabetes and joint testing of G xdiabetes, G-colorect cancer association and/or G-diabetes correlation (2,3degrees of freedom joint tests; d.f.).
