TL;DR: A high performance liquid chromatography-laser induced fluorescence technique to detect and record simultaneously spectra andchromatograms of physiological samples, which will enable the detection of multiple ‘markers’ in a singlephysiological sample in a short time.
Abstract: At present, the diagnosis of many cancers relies on thesubjective interpretation of morphological changesin biopsy samples. This usually provides only latediagnosis. Early detection, which can provide more
successful therapy, is expected to be possible by identification
of tumour markers in physiological samples.
Immunoassay used at present for this purpose hasseveral drawbacks. It is applicable only for knownmarkers, can usually detect only one marker at atime, and may also fail to detect a marker when there
exist conditions, which may mask or prevent the interactionbetween antigen and the antibody. We havedeveloped a high performance liquid chromatography-laser induced fluorescence (HPLC-LIF) technique
to detect and record simultaneously spectra andchromatograms of physiological samples, which willenable the detection of multiple ‘markers’ in a singlephysiological sample in a short time. Samples of salivaand serum from normal and oral cancer subjects have
been studied with the set up. The present studies showthat body fluids like saliva and serum of normal, premalignantand malignant subjects have substantiallydifferent protein profiles. By simultaneous recording
of the chromatographic peaks and correspondingfluorescence spectra, it is possible to carry outunambiguous discrimination between normal, premalignantand malignant cases even when markersare present in femto/subfemtomole quantities, whichshould assist in early diagnosis of neoplasia.

TL;DR: This wireless visual sensor network for precision agriculture to monitor paddy crop for weeds using Raspberry Pi could be expected to enhance the crop production by giving timely advice to the crop producers about the presence of weeds so that steps can be taken to eradicate weeds.
Abstract: Wireless sensor network applications in the agricultural sector are gaining popularity with the advancement of the Internet of Things technology. Predominantly, wireless sensor networks are used in agriculture to sense the important agricultural field parameters, such as temperature, humidity, soil moisture level, nitrite content in the soil, groundwater quality, and so on. These sensed parameters will be sent to a remote station, where it will be processed and analyzed to build a decision support system. This paper describes the implementation of a wireless visual sensor network for precision agriculture to monitor paddy crop for weeds using Raspberry Pi. Bluetooth 4.0 was used by visual sensor nodes to send the data to the base station. Base station forwarded the data to the remote station using IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n standard. The solar cell battery was used to power up the sensor nodes and the base station. At the remote station, images were preprocessed to remove soil background and different shape features were extracted. Random forest and support vector machine classifiers were used to classify the paddy crop and weed based on the shape features. The results and observations obtained from the experimental setup of the system in a small paddy field are also reported. This system could be expected to enhance the crop production by giving timely advice to the crop producers about the presence of weeds so that steps can be taken to eradicate weeds.

TL;DR: All aspects of seroma formation from pathogenesis to prevention including drug therapies have been discussed, and various techniques and their modifications have been practiced and published.
Abstract: Post mastectomy seroma remains an unresolved quandary as the risk factors for its formation have still not been identified Seromas of the axillary space following breast surgery can lead to significant morbidity and delay in the initiation of adjuvant therapy Various techniques and their modifications have been practiced and published in English literature, but there seems to be no consensus In this article, all aspects of seroma formation from pathogenesis to prevention including drug therapies have been discussed

TL;DR: Mild form of CTD is present in students using cell phones and mainly depends on the pattern of phone usage, but maximum symptoms were noted in thumb and pain and fatigue were the two most common symptoms reported by the respondents.
Abstract: Purpose: In recent years, ownership and usage of cell phones have become widespread, especially amongst young people The increasing use of text messaging on mobile phones has focused concern on possible musculoskeletal disorders for the users Hence the purpose of this study was to find the prevalence of cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) of the upper limb in cell phone users Methods: A questionnaire-based survey was undertaken to detect the prevalence of CTDs in 1500 college students Results: The response rate of the survey was 919% Overall prevalence of CTD in the upper limb was found to be 185% Maximum symptoms were noted in thumb (52%) Pain (617%) and fatigue (443%) were the two most common symptoms reported by the respondents Conclusions: Mild form of CTD is present in students using cell phones and mainly depends on the pattern of phone usage
