Solubility and thermodynamics of ferulic acid in different neat solvents: Measurement, correlation and molecular interactions
TL;DR: In this article, the solubility of a bioactive compound ferulic acid (FA) in various neat solvents namely water, methanol, ethanol, isopropanol (IPA), propylene glycol (PG), 1-butanol, 2 butanol, ethyl acetate (EA), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), polyethylene glycol-400 (PEG-400) and Transcutol® was measured, correlated and evaluated for molecular interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI
On the inherent properties of Soluplus and its application in ibuprofen solid dispersions generated by microwave-quench cooling technology.
Nian-Qiu Shi,Hongwei Lai,Yong Zhang,Bo Feng,Xiao Xiao,Hong-Mei Zhang,Zheng-Qiang Li,Xian-Rong Qi +7 more
TL;DR: A basic understanding of Soluplus® as a carrier of amorphous solid dispersions is presented and cloud points, critical micelle concentrations, and viscosity are explored.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solubility determination, various solubility parameters and solution thermodynamics of sunitinib malate in some cosolvents, water and various (Transcutol + water) mixtures
Sultan Alshehri,Faiyaz Shakeel +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the experimental solubilities of sunitinib malate (SM) were validated using five different computational models such as "van't Hoff, Apelblat, Yalkowsly-Roseman, Jouyban-Acree and van't Hoff-Jouybanacree models" and all the studied models performed good correlation and validation.
Journal ArticleDOI
The mechanism of bensulfuron-methyl complexation with β-cyclodextrin and 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin and effect on soil adsorption and bio-activity.
TL;DR: An approach to develop a novel CDs-based formulation for hydrophobic herbicides with lower soil adsorption and herbicidal activity in the complexation form with β-CD or 2-HP-β-CD than in the pure form is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of besifloxacin HCl loaded nanofibrous ocular inserts for the treatment of bacterial keratitis: In vitro, ex vivo and in vivo evaluation
H. Kerem Polat,Sibel Bozdağ Pehlivan,Ceren Özkul,Semih Calamak,Naile Öztürk,Eren Aytekin,Ayşegül Firat,Kezban Ulubayram,Sibel Kocabeyoglu,Murat Irkec,Sema Çalış +10 more
TL;DR: TSA coated inserts as well as the inserts containing HP-β-CD-drug complex were effectively reducing bacterial keratitis in rabbit eyes upon single-dose application compared to multiple dosing with the commercial drug.
