Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation and characterization of inclusion complexes formed between baicalein and cyclodextrins.

TL;DR: Using DM-β-CD can effectively improve the solubility and thermal stability of free Ba, which is a promising approach to promote its clinical application.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solid-state β-cyclodextrin complexes containing indomethacin, ammonia and water. I. Formation studies

TL;DR: In this article, five unique complexes were prepared and characterized containing β-cyclodextrin, indomethacin, ammonia and water, and the results showed indometHacin solubility was improved by complex formation with β-cyclextrin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Daidzein/cyclodextrin/hydrophilic polymer ternary systems.

TL;DR: The analysis of the three solid complexes proved that the formation of inclusion complexes occurred through the insertion of the B and C rings of daidzein molecule into the cyclodextrins cavity, and the association of d aidzein/cyclodextrin complexes to the hydrophilic polymers HPMC or PVP (1%, w/w) was able to improve the solubility of dAidzein even further.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interactions between p-hydroxybenzoic acid esters and hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin and their antimicrobial effect against Candida albicans

TL;DR: The results suggest that the degree of inactivation is completely dependent on the complex bonded fraction of the PHB ester, and that the antimicrobial activity of the preservatives against the test organism was reduced in the presence of HP-β-CD.
Journal ArticleDOI

Complexation of phenytoin with some hydrophilic cyclodextrins: effect on aqueous solubility, dissolution rate, and anticonvulsant activity in mice.

TL;DR: It was found that in the maximal electroshock seizure test in mice the DPH/Me-beta-CD complex exhibited anticonvulsant activity similar to DPH sodium salt (NaDPH).
