Synergistic interaction of paclitaxel and curcumin with cyclodextrin polymer complexation in human cancer cells.
Ali Ozgur Boztas,Ozgur Karakuzu,Gabriela Galante,Zafer Ugur,Fatih Kocabas,Cengiz Z. Altuntas,A. Ozgur Yazaydin +6 more
TL;DR: A synergism was found between curcumin and paclitaxel, particularly when complexed with PCDT on A2780, SKOV-3, and H1299 cancer cell lines, and a novel drug nanocarrier system was formulated by encapsulating curcuming and pac litaxel in poly(β-cyclodextrin triazine) (PCDT).
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and evaluation of naringenin-loaded sulfobutylether-β-cyclodextrin/chitosan nanoparticles for ocular drug delivery.
TL;DR: The in vitro release study indicated that Nag-CD/CS-NPs achieved moderate sustained-release effect, and the in vivo study revealed that the prepared nanoparticles was nonirritating to rabbit's eye and had better ability to prolong the residence time than the naringenin suspension.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formulation and biological evaluation of glimepiride-cyclodextrin-polymer systems.
TL;DR: The association of water soluble polymers with glimepiride-CyD systems leads to great enhancement in dissolution rate, increased duration of action and improvement of therapeutic efficacy of the drug.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formation of natamycin:cyclodextrin inclusion complexes and their characterization.
John L. Koontz,Joseph E. Marcy +1 more
TL;DR: Thenatamycin:CD inclusion complexes resulted in in vitro antifungal activity nearly equivalent to that of natamycin in its free state, and the water solubility was increased 16-fold, 73-fold and 152-fold with beta- CD, gamma-CD, and HP beta-cd, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Betamethasone-in-cyclodextrin-in-liposome: The effect of cyclodextrins on encapsulation efficiency and release kinetics
TL;DR: It is shown that release kinetics are directly correlated with encapsulation efficiency, which is closely related to betamethasone concentration in cyclodextrin complex solution, which was proved by the comparison of phase solubility diagrams of both betamETHasone and cholesterol.
