Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced physicochemical properties and herbicidal activity of an environment-friendly clathrate formed by β-cyclodextrin and herbicide cyanazine
TL;DR: In this paper, the clathrate of cyanazine and β-cyclodextrin (cyanazine-β-CD) clathrates was synthesized via co-precipitation to enhance the water solubility, thermostability and herbicidal activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative analysis of binary and ternary cyclodextrin complexes with econazole nitrate in solution and in solid state
TL;DR: The ternary ECN/SBEβCD/CA co-ground product presented superior dissolution properties, increasing the ECN dissolution efficiency of 66.62 times, clearly having the best potential for further development of a novel ECN delivery system for efficient delivery of the drug to the oral cavity, thus improving the therapy of oral candidosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Poly-(cyclo)dextrins as ethoxzolamide carriers in ophthalmic solutions and in contact lenses.
Maria José Garcia-Fernandez,Nicolas Tabary,Bernard Martel,Frederic Cazaux,A. Oliva,Pablo Taboada,Angel Concheiro,Carmen Alvarez-Lorenzo +7 more
TL;DR: This work focuses on the suitability of poly-(cyclo)dextrins as carriers able to solubilize the carbonic anhydrase inhibitor (CAI) ethoxzolamide (ETOX), which is so far used for oral treatment of glaucoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inclusion complexation of glibenclamide with 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin in solution and in solid state
TL;DR: In this article, phase solubility diagrams have been used to investigate complexation between 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HPBCD) and glibenclamide (GM) in aqueous medium.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formulation and evaluation of cyclodextrin complexes for improved anticancer activity of repurposed drug: Niclosamide.
Anurag Lodagekar,Roshan M. Borkar,Sowjanya Thatikonda,Rahul B. Chavan,V.G.M. Naidu,Nalini R. Shastri,R. Srinivas,Naveen Chella +7 more
TL;DR: In vitro cytotoxicity studies indicated significantly higher cytot toxicity at lower concentrations and the pharmacokinetic studies showed significant improvement in Cmax and Tmax of Niclosamide from cyclodextrin complex in comparison to pure niclosamide alone.
