TLDR
A new method for determining nucleotide sequences in DNA is described, which makes use of the 2',3'-dideoxy and arabinon nucleoside analogues of the normal deoxynucleoside triphosphates, which act as specific chain-terminating inhibitors of DNA polymerase.
Abstract
A new method for determining nucleotide sequences in DNA is described. It is similar to the “plus and minus” method [Sanger, F. & Coulson, A. R. (1975) J. Mol. Biol. 94, 441-448] but makes use of the 2′,3′-dideoxy and arabinonucleoside analogues of the normal deoxynucleoside triphosphates, which act as specific chain-terminating inhibitors of DNA polymerase. The technique has been applied to the DNA of bacteriophage ϕX174 and is more rapid and more accurate than either the plus or the minus method.

Toluene degradation by Pseudomonas putida F1. Nucleotide sequence of the todC1C2BADE genes and their expression in Escherichia coli.

TL;DR: The tod-C1C2BAD genes show significant homology to the reported nucleotide sequence for benzene dioxygenase and cis-1,2-dihydroxycyclohexa-3,5-diene dehydrogenase from P. putida 136R-3.

Full-length sequence of a hepatitis C virus genome having poor homology to reported isolates: comparative study of four distinct genotypes.

TL;DR: A proposed phylogenetic tree of HCV, with a fourth branch represented by HC-J8, allowed a classification of all HCV isolates whose complete or partial sequences are now known and suggests that all or most HCV genome sequences will fall into one of the proposed four types.

Expression cloning of the human IL-3 receptor cDNA reveals a shared β subunit for the human IL-3 and GM-CSF receptors

TL;DR: DUK-1 was designated as the alpha subunit of the hIL-3R, indicating that different alpha subunits compete for a common beta subunit in human interleukin-3 cells.
