13 Aug 2008TL;DR: In this article, a receiver signal (7') is produced that is precise as far as frequency is concerned during a determined listening time in a magnetron radar system utilizing a local oscillator arrangement.
Abstract: By means of a method and device, a receiver signal (7') is produced that is precise as far as frequency is concerned during a determined listening time in a magnetron radar system utilizing a local oscillator arrangement (5). In the arrangement, an oscillator (VCO) is arranged to be able to be controlled by a control loop. Using a first means (17), the magnetron's outgoing frequency is received and mixed with the oscillator's outgoing frequency and creates a difference frequency in analogue form. The difference frequency is filtered, digitized and sampled in order to generate an estimated difference frequency (22a') in digital form. A third means 23 receives and compares the estimated frequency in digital form with a required difference frequency, the result of the comparison being utilized for correction of a frequency initiated by an approximate-setting function. A ROM is arranged with a translation table with divisors (N), which are set in relation to various possible output frequencies of the oscillator. A relevant divisor can be derived from the oscillator's current output frequency. The control loop receives the divisor and fine-tunes the oscillator. In this way, a non-critical and efficient control of the oscillator can be carried out so that this can provide the precise receiver signal. It is proposed that Figure 1 should accompany the abstract.

20 Mar 1997TL;DR: In this article, a structure-dividing charge is arranged in the supporting structure in order to divide the structure into two separate parts, which are used to prevent the impact from the first activated warhead reaching the warheads.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an ammunition unit (1) in the form of a shell or the like, with at least two warheads (18, 19) connected via a supporting structure (5). In order to prevent the impact from the first activated warhead (18) reaching the warheads (19) situated to the rear, and to prevent an interference effect on these warheads, according to the invention a structure-dividing charge (8) is arranged in the supporting structure (5) in order to divide the structure into two separate parts (14, 15).

22 May 2021TL;DR: This work analyzes the nonlinear effects in the track and hold circuit applied in high-speed ADCs or RF sampling receiver (RX) front-ends and proposes a novel bootstrap circuit with a fast settling time and high bootstrap voltage in a 22 nm FD-SOI CMOS technology.
Abstract: This work analyzes the nonlinear effects in the track and hold circuit applied in high-speed ADCs or RF sampling receiver (RX) front-ends. Non-ideal effects inside the main sampling NMOS switch are studied. Parasitic varactor and sampling on-resistance modulation effects are analyzed through frequency domain Volterra series and the EKV MOS transistor model. Polynomial curve fitting is applied showing that the on-resistance modulation dominates. Finally, a novel bootstrap circuit is proposed with a fast settling time and high bootstrap voltage in a 22 nm FD-SOI CMOS technology, with its settling time analyzed using the Elmore delay model.

15 Sep 2020TL;DR: An overview of a high-speed channel analyzed through the S-parameters utilizing a commercial tool is presented and the performance of the channel and the different techniques are described.
Abstract: The use of high-speed applications put a high demand on the interconnects. Methods to investigate the distortion and crosstalk introduced by the interconnects is therefore crucial. Different techniques are available both at the design and at the verification stage of the printed circuit board. In order to determine the quality of a high-speed channel for different operating conditions the S-parameters could be utilized and processed in order to evaluate the performance. This paper presents an overview of a high-speed channel analyzed through the S-parameters utilizing a commercial tool. The performance of the channel and the different techniques are described.

30 Jun 2006TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an apparatus and method for monitoring and correcting data errors in a computer system, in particular transient data errors, in computer systems having very limited tolerance for deteriorations in performance.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for monitoring and correcting data errors in a computer system, in particular transient data errors in computer systems having very limited tolerance for deteriorations in performance. The method comprises the steps of: writing a set of data to a plurality of separate databases (50, 80), the databases including at least a first database (50) and a second database (80), reading the set of data from the first database and applying an error correction code (ECC) to detect possible multiple bit errors in the set of data which was read from the first database, and in case an error is detected, the error is reported to an error management unit (30). Furthermore, the error management unit manages a switch of means from which data are read from the first database to the second database, and applying the error correction code for correcting single bit errors in the previously read set of data. The writing means corrects data in the first database by writing the set of data from the second database to both of the first and second databases, and reports to the error management unit that the error is corrected.
