Natural Growth Regulators

TL;DR: This Chapter deals primarily with the role of cytokinins in disease symptom expressions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Toxicity of Essential Oil from a New Strain of Ocimum gratissimum (Clocimum) against Betelvine Pathogenic Fungi

TL;DR: The leaves of Ocimum gratissimum (Clocimum) exhibited strong volatile fungitoxicity against betelvine pathogens—Alternaria alternata, Colletotrichum capsici and Sclerotium rolfsii—and Eugenol was found to be the major fungitoxic principle in the essential oil.
Journal ArticleDOI

Involvement of the 90 kDa glycoprotein in adhesion ofNectria haematococcamacroconidia

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that snowdrop lectin, which specifically binds to α-mannose, also inhibits adhesion, and that polyclonal IgG prepared against the 90 kDa glycoprotein inhibit adhesion of both ungerminated and germinated macroconidia.
Journal ArticleDOI

Carotenoid biosynthesis in some maize mutants

TL;DR: The “chloroplasts” in the mutant strains resemble chromoplasts in fruit and roots (carrots) rather than normal chloroplasts, the membranes of which are relatively impermeable to mevalonic acid.

Allgemeine Charakterisierung eines Enzyms

W. Heinen
Book ChapterDOI

Optical Rotatory Dispersion. Its Application to Protein Conformation.

E. F. Woods, +1 more
TL;DR: Optical rotation has been found to be one of the most convenient methods of following the denaturation of proteins and rotatory dispersion is capable of providing information on the folding of the polypeptide chain in proteins and the changes accompanying denaturation.
