Alteration of plasma membrane-bound redox systems of iron deficient pea roots by chitosan
TL;DR: This study presents the first proteome analysis of plasma membranes isolated from pea roots, showing a differential abundance of several spots in all samples investigated and possible functions of proteins identified and reasons for a weakened pathogen response of iron-deficient plants were discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Schizontocidal activity of Celastrus paniculatus Willd. against Plasmodium falciparum in vitro
Katchrinnee Pavanandt,H.Kyle Webster,Kosol Yongvanitchit,Amporn Kun-anake,Thaweephol Dechatiwongse,Wutichai Nutakul,Jaree Bansiddhi +6 more
TL;DR: Pristimerin, an active principle isolated and characterized from the chloroform fraction and identified as a quinonoid triterpene, pristimerin was less active than the conventional antimalarial drugs tested.
Journal ArticleDOI
Callus initiation and organ differentiation from shoot tip cultures of Colocasia esculenta
TL;DR: Callus was maintained on this medium supplemented with 30 μM NAA and 0.45 μM kinetin, and shoot differentiation of taro was differentiated from callus after 6 weeks of incubation at 27 ±2°C with 16 h of light alternating with 8 h darkness at 24 ± 2°C.
Journal ArticleDOI
Purification of limonoid glucosyltransferase from navel orange albedo tissues
TL;DR: UDP- d -glucose: limonoid glucosyltransferase was purified from albedo tissues of navel orange cultivars, Frost and Newhall, by a combination of (NH4)2SO4 fractionation, UDP-glucuronic acid affinity chromatography and DEAE ion exchange HPLC, resulting in a 452-fold increase in enzyme purification.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of purge and trap extraction and gas chromatography for determination of minor esters in cider.
TL;DR: In this article, a purge and trap technique combined with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry-flame ionization detection has been carried out in order to apply it to the analysis of ciders.

Optical Rotatory Dispersion. Its Application to Protein Conformation.
E. F. Woods,Donnell +1 more
TL;DR: Optical rotation has been found to be one of the most convenient methods of following the denaturation of proteins and rotatory dispersion is capable of providing information on the folding of the polypeptide chain in proteins and the changes accompanying denaturation.
