Theresa Zackrisson,Björn Holmberg,Björn Holmberg,Bo Johnels,Thorleif Thorlin,Thorleif Thorlin +5 more
TL;DR: A new automated implementation of the Posturo‐Locomotion‐Manual (PLM) method for movement analysis in patients with parkinson’s disease is presented.
Dissertation
Magnetic resonance imaging of cognition in Parkinson’s disease
TL;DR: This work presents a meta-analysis of MRI data acquisition and image formation in the context of Parkinson’s disease and cognitive decline and investigates the role of classical precession and the Larmor frequency in this disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determinants of Sexual Dysfunction in Male and Female Patients with Parkinson’s Disease
Murat İlhan Atagün,Birgül Atmaca,Feriha Özer,Serkan Ozben,Raziye Tiras,Sibel Cetin,Mehmet Fazıl Genç +6 more
TL;DR: Both in males and females, gonadal steroids decline with advancing age, and dopamine depletion may cause SD with its dual effects, including erectile dysfunction as well as motor disturbances in PD in male patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
A preliminary study of the neuroanatomical correlates of primary writing tremor: role of cerebellum
Ketan Jhunjhunwala,Lija George,Raviteja Kotikalapudi,Pradeep K. Gupta,Abhishek Lenka,Albert Stezin,Rajini M Naduthota,Ravi Yadav,Arun Kumar Gupta,Jitender Saini,Pramod Kumar Pal +10 more
TL;DR: This study found that patients with PWT had predominant gray matter atrophy in parts of cerebellum and frontal lobe along with white matter changes of the cingulum and frontal lobule connections.
Corticomotor excitability in drug-naive patients with Parkinson disease Pobudliwoœæ kory ruchowej u pacjentów ze œwie¿o rozpoznanπ chorobπ Parkinsona
TL;DR: In the early stage of untreated PD the CE parameters are altered only on the more affected side, and the shortening of CSP reflects the severity of rigidity on theMore affected side.

TL;DR: The combined clinimetric results of this study support the validity of the MDS‐UPDRS for rating PD.

TL;DR: In this paper, a cross-sectional analysis of the CIDs for UPDRS total and motor scores was performed on patients with Parkinson disease (PD) using distribution-and anchor-based approaches based on the following external standards: disability (10% on the Schwab and England Activities of Daily Living Scale), disease stage (1 stage on the Hoehn and Yahr Scale), and quality of life (1 SD on the 12-Item Short Form Health Survey).
