Parkinson Hastalarında Depresyon, Yorgunluk ve Apati Gibi Motor Olmayan Semptomlar

TL;DR: In this article, Parkinsons hastalığı (PH) grubunda motor semptomlar kadar, depresyon, yorgunluk ve apati gibi motor lindalıgın da sık görülür ve özürlülüğü arttıran faktörlerdendir.

Unilateral ablative lesions of the subthalamic nucleus in moderate-to-advanced Parkinson's disease/Orta-ileri evre Parkinson hastaliginda subtalamik nukleusun unilateral ablatif lezyonlari

TL;DR: Deep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus (STN) has been reported to be effective in alleviating all parkinsonian motor symptoms and motor complications in moderate-to-advanced Parkinson’s disease (PD), and subthalamotomy is concluded to be a safe and effective treatment for moderate- to-advance PD.

Biomechanical outcomes of the pendulum test characterize individual differences in activated versus resting leg rigidity in people with Parkinson's disease

TL;DR: The results suggest that the biomechanical assessment of the pendulum test can objectively quantify leg rigidity among people with Parkinson's disease and may contribute to a better understanding of fundamental mechanisms underlying motor symptoms in PD, evaluating the efficacy of treatments, and predicting the risk of falls.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of combined effects of physical and mental practice with physical practice alone on functional independence in parkinson (pd) patients

TL;DR: In this paper, 30 patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease were recruited with 60-75 years of age, who were between 1.5 -3 on the Hoehn & Yahr classification and had a score of 24 on the modified Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE).
Journal ArticleDOI

Eye Movements in Fragile X-Associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome.

TL;DR: Clinical examination findings of ocular abnormalities, using the ICARS oculomotor disorders movement subscale, are not more common in FXTAS or FMR1 premutation carriers than normal controls on examination in the clinic.

Movement Disorder Society-sponsored revision of the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS): scale presentation and clinimetric testing results.

Christopher G. Goetz, +87 more
- 15 Nov 2008 -
TL;DR: The combined clinimetric results of this study support the validity of the MDS‐UPDRS for rating PD.
Journal ArticleDOI

Colonic inflammation in Parkinson's disease.

TL;DR: Findings provide evidence that enteric inflammation occurs in Parkinson's disease and further reinforce the role of peripheral inflammation in the initiation and/or the progression of the disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of pedunculopontine nucleus area stimulation on gait disorders in Parkinson's disease

TL;DR: Although freezing of gait can be improved by low-frequency electrical stimulation of the pedunculopontine nucleus area in some patients with Parkinson's disease, the overall results are disappointing compared to the high levels of expectation raised by previous open label studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Clinically Important Difference on the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale

TL;DR: In this paper, a cross-sectional analysis of the CIDs for UPDRS total and motor scores was performed on patients with Parkinson disease (PD) using distribution-and anchor-based approaches based on the following external standards: disability (10% on the Schwab and England Activities of Daily Living Scale), disease stage (1 stage on the Hoehn and Yahr Scale), and quality of life (1 SD on the 12-Item Short Form Health Survey).
