Observation of electroweak production of two jets and a $Z$-boson pair with the ATLAS detector at the LHC

Georges Aad, +2981 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the first observation of the electroweak symmetry breaking process at the Large Hadron Collider with spin one was reported, with an integrated luminosity of 139 fb$^{-1}$ recorded at a centre of mass energy of 13 TeV by the ATLAS detector.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for Diphoton Events with Large Missing Transverse Energy with 36 pb^-1 of 7 TeV Proton-Proton Collision Data with the ATLAS Detector

Georges Aad, +3143 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the ATLAS Collaboration performed a search for diphoton events with large missing transverse energy, and a 95% Confidence Level (CL) upper limit on the cross section for new physics of sigma 961 GeV is set on the UED compactification radius R.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the e+e- -> W+W- cross section and W decay branching fractions at LEP

Giovanni Abbiendi, +247 more
TL;DR: In this article, the W-pair production cross sections at 10 different centre-of-mass energies were used to determine the W boson branching fractions, which were found to be consistent with lepton universality of the charged current interaction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for dark matter in association with an energetic photon in pp collisions at √s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +3007 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for dark matter is conducted in final states containing a photon and missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at the CERN LHC, and 95% confidence-level upper limits between 2.45 fb and 0.5 fb are set on the visible cross section for contributions from physics beyond the Standard Model, in different ranges of the missing transversal momentum.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for B+ →a+νaγ decays with hadronic tagging using the full Belle data sample

A. Heller, +170 more
- 17 Jun 2015 -
TL;DR: In this article, the decay of B+ = e(+) = e (+) or mu(+) was investigated using the full Belle data set of 772 x 10(6) B (B) over bar pairs, collected at the Y(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e(+e(+)e(-) collider.
