TL;DR: In this article, a method, apparatus and system for acquiring an access point name for an application employing a local Internet protocol breakout service is provided for acquiring access points from the local internet protocol local breakout service.
Abstract: A method, apparatus and system are provided for acquiring an access point name for an application employing a local Internet protocol breakout service. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a user management subsystem (820) configured to initiate an Internet protocol application. The apparatus also includes a local breakout service monitoring subsystem (810) configured to monitor availability of a local Internet protocol local breakout service and to obtain an access point name from the local Internet protocol local breakout service when the local Internet protocol local breakout service is available. The apparatus also includes an access point name selection control subsystem (830) configured to bind the access point name to the Internet protocol application.

TL;DR: In this paper, a mobile terminal is presented, having capability to determine when a user should be stimulated toward an awake state, which can be used for communication by the user in the awake state.
Abstract: A mobile terminal is presented, having capability to determine when a user should be stimulated toward an awake state. The terminal includes a receiver for receiving a sleep descriptor signal indicative of at least one sleep characteristic of the user, and also includes a signal processing module for processing the sleep descriptor signal. The signal processing module is arranged to provide, at least partly in response to the sleep descriptor signal, a stimulation signal indicative that the user should be stimulated. The mobile terminal is also usable for communication by the user in the awake state. This invention further includes a method, system, and monitor to be used with the mobile terminal in order to stimulate the user toward an awake state.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for using a wide keyboard including a wide range of keys in small mobile devices is described, where a first location of a tactile input is detected on an input portion of the touch sensitive display displaying a plurality of keys.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for using a wide keyboard including a wide range of keys in small mobile devices. A method relates to operating a mobile device having a touch sensitive display divided in input and output portions (200). A first location of a tactile input is detected (201) on an input portion of the touch sensitive display displaying a plurality of keys. Next the input portion display view is zoomed (203) by displaying and linearly magnifying the detected tactile input area and it's surrounding. A second location of a tactile input is detected (204) and a key on the location of a second detected tactile input (204) is highlighted (205). The highlighted key (205) is activated (206) and identified as an input.

TL;DR: A scheme giving ad possible 4 antenna, 4 epoch space-time block codes is presented, generalizing to an arbitrary number of Tx antennas, optimizing the transmission delay and modulator rate when full diversity is required.
Abstract: Space-time block codes providing transmit diversity for communication over multiple transmitter channels are considered. A scheme giving ad possible 4 antenna, 4 epoch space-time block codes is presented. The scheme generalizes to an arbitrary number of Tx antennas, optimizing the transmission delay and modulator rate when full diversity is required. For four transmit antennas, the antenna power spectrum of the space-time block code is optimized.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a handshake signaling protocol for device-to-device (D2D) communications in which a beacon consisting of an OFDM beacon frame comprising a plurality of beacon fields is used to establish a D2D connection.
Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment of the present invention, a method comprises broadcasting from a user equipment (UE) having means for device to device (D2D) communication a beacon comprising an OFDM beacon frame comprising a plurality of beacon fields; receiving at least one random access request from at least one neighbor device to trigger handshake signaling for establishment of a D2D connection; responding to one of the at least one random access request with an acknowledgement beacon including at least an identifier of the UE to confirm the D2D connection with the selected neighbor device; discovering available resources; and exchanging said resource information in the handshake signaling with the neighbor devices.
