Activated Pancreatic Stellate Cells Sequester CD8+ T Cells to Reduce Their Infiltration of the Juxtatumoral Compartment of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma

TLDR
Based on studies of human PDAC samples and KPC mice, activated PSCs appear to reduce migration of CD8(+) T cells to juxtatumoral stromal compartments, preventing their access to cancer cells.

Tumor heterogeneity: An oncogenic driver of PDAC progression and therapy resistance under stress conditions.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors describe the PDAC subtypes based on the genomic, transcriptional, epigenetic, and metabolic signatures observed among patients and within individual tumors and highlight the dynamic reciprocating interplay between the stromal and immune cells that impact immune surveillance or immune evasion response and contribute towards a complex process of tumorigenesis.
