Journal ArticleDOI

Association between serum lipids and apolipoprotein E phenotype is influenced by diet in a population-based sample of free-living children and young adults: the Cardiovascular Risk in Young Finns Study.

TL;DR: The statistical significance of the association of serum total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein (LDL) concentration with apoE phenotype increased from the low SAFA-cholesterol group to the high SA FA-ch cholesterol group, and the middle SAFA -cholesterol groups fell between these two groups.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multi-ancestry GWAS of the electrocardiographic PR interval identifies 202 loci underlying cardiac conduction

Ioanna Ntalla, +223 more
TL;DR: It is shown that polygenic predisposition to PR interval duration is an endophenotype for cardiovascular disease, including distal conduction disease, AF, and atrioventricular pre-excitation, and these findings advance the understanding of the polygenic basis of cardiac conduction, and the genetic relationship betweenPR interval duration and cardiovascular disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dopamine 2 receptor C957T and catechol-o-methyltransferase Val158Met polymorphisms are associated with treatment response in electroconvulsive therapy.

TL;DR: It was found that the combination of COMT Met allele and DRD2 T allele predicted more severe depression in those already affected but did not predict the risk of depression when compared to normal population.
