Cellular Interaction and Tumoral Penetration Properties of Cyclodextrin Nanoparticles on 3D Breast Tumor Model.
TL;DR: It was determined that the nanoparticles prepared from the inclusion complex according to characterization studies have a longer release profile than the conventionally prepared nanoparticles and have a stronger anti-tumoral activity in the 3D multicellular tumor model than the drug solution.

Nimisha Bhattarai,Mi Chen,Rocío L. Pérez,Sudhir Ravula,Pratap K. Chhotaray,Suzana Hamdan,Karen C. McDonough,Suman Tiwari,Isiah M. Warner +8 more
TL;DR: The role of cyclodextrin (CD)-templating on the size and therapeutic properties of rhodamine 6G (R6G) nanoGUMBOS, i.e. nanomaterials derived from a Group of Uniform Materials Based on Organic Salts (GUMbOS), is reported to provide further insight into an approach that may be employed for rapid synthesis of size tunable nanodrugs for enhanced chemotherapeutic efficacy.

Specific and nonspecific effects of biologically active inorganic salts on inclusion complex formation of cyclodextrins with aromatic carboxylic acids

TL;DR: In this article, the ion-binding between inorganic univalent anions and positively charged groups of the acids under study was analyzed using 3D-RISM approach and it was found that the binding affinity of cyclodextrins to the acids is decreased in the presence of the salts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Complexation of tropane alkaloids by cyclodextrins.
TL;DR: It has been demonstrated that tropane alkaloids form complexes with β- and γ-cyclodextrins of 1:1 stoichiometry and it has been found that β- cyclodextrin forms ten times more stable complexes than γ, which indicates the formation of complexes where both aliphatic and aromatic parts of tropan alkaloid interact withβ-cyclodesxtrin.
