DFT study on the effects of catalysis by β-cyclodextrin in the reaction of p-nitrophenyl acetate
TL;DR: The mechanism illustrates that β-CD plays a catalytic role during the synthesis reaction, improving the reactivity and selectivity of the process.

Adamantylated trisimidazolium-based tritopic guests and their binding properties towards cucurbit[7]uril and β-cyclodextrin
TL;DR: In this paper, two homotritopic guests based on trisbenzimidazolium salts with adamantane binding sites were prepared, and NMR and calorimetric titration experiments revealed that each of the three sites independently binds β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) or cucurbit[7]uril (CB7) units to form binary host-guest complexes with 1:3 stoichiometry.
Bio-soft cyclodextrin nanomaterials
TL;DR: In this paper, a review of research work dealing with CD nanomaterials realized as follows: i) aggregates of native or pharmaceutical trade CDs, ii) supramolecular self-assemblies based on CD by focussing on photo-responsive nanOMaterials as well as mixed systems based on CDs and polymers, iii) hard metal nanoparticles whose behaviour becomes soft by capping with CD.

Novel Supramolecular Nanoparticles Derived from Cucurbit[7]uril and Zwitterionic Surfactants
J. Fernández-Rosas,Márcia Pessêgo,Angel Acuña,Carlos Vázquez-Vázquez,Javier Montenegro,M. Parajó,P. Rodríguez-Dafonte,Faruk Nome,Luis García-Río +8 more
TL;DR: The potential application of these nanoparticles as drug delivery vehicles was investigated by using carboxyfluorescein and revealed that upon externally induced disruption of the SNPs the fluorescent dye was trapped in micellar aggregates that can be further disrupted by cyclodextrin addition.
