Transcriptional regulation by Polycomb group proteins.
TLDR
The current knowledge of the PRC complexes is discussed, how they are targeted to chromatin and how the high diversity of the PcG proteins allows these complexes to influence cell identity.Abstract:
Polycomb group (PcG) proteins function within Polycomb repressive complexes (PRCs), which modify histones and other proteins and silence target genes. This Review highlights new insights into the role of PcG proteins in gene regulation, specifically in controlling self-renewal and differentiation of embryonic stem cells, and into how PRCs are targeted to chromatin.read more

Epigenetic control of skin and hair regeneration after wounding.
TL;DR: This work considers epigenetic regulation of reepithelialization, dermal restructuring and hair neogenesis, and speculates on how these various healing components might converge for wound‐induced hair follicle neogenesis.

Genomic targeting of epigenetic probes using a chemically tailored Cas9 system.
TL;DR: Protein trans-splicing is used to ligate chemical moieties to a nuclease-deficient Cas9 in vitro and subsequently deliver these molecules to live cells and it is expected that this technology will allow for the genomic localization of a wide array of small molecules and modified proteinaceous materials.

Cbx2 stably associates with mitotic chromosomes via a PRC2 or PRC1-independent mechanism and is needed for recruiting PRC1 complex to mitotic chromosomes
TL;DR: Novel insights are provided into the PcG epigenetic memory passing down through cell divisions by immobilizing Cbx2 at mitotic chromosomes and finding that it is independent of PRC1 or PRC2.

TL;DR: This study indicates that miR-375 exerts its tumor-promoting role in prostate cancer by influencing the epigenetic regulation of transcriptional programs through its ability to directly target the Polycomb complex member CBX7.

TL;DR: The transcriptional landscape of the four human HOX loci is characterized at five base pair resolution in 11 anatomic sites and 231 HOX ncRNAs are identified that extend known transcribed regions by more than 30 kilobases, suggesting transcription of ncRNA may demarcate chromosomal domains of gene silencing at a distance.

TL;DR: A model in which some lincRNAs guide chromatin-modifying complexes to specific genomic loci to regulate gene expression is proposed, and it is shown that siRNA-mediated depletion of certain linc RNAs associated with PRC2 leads to changes in gene expression.
