Methods for determining hepatocellular carcinoma subtype and detecting hepatic cancer stem cells

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of determining an HCC subtype in a subject comprising of obtaining a sample from the subject, assaying the sample to detect the expression of 1 or more biomarkers, and correlating the biomarkers with an HC subtype was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Zinc supplementation suppresses 4-nitroquinoline 1-oxide-induced rat oral carcinogenesis

TL;DR: Zn supplementation has chemopreventive efficacy against oral carcinogenesis in nutritionally complete animals and suggests that Zn supplementation may be efficacious in theChemoprevention of human oral cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

A TSH-CREB1-microRNA loop is required for thyroid cell growth.

TL;DR: The identification of a set of five specific miRNA, whose down-regulation by thyrotropin is required for thyroid cell growth, indicate that a synergistic loop involving thyrotroropin, CREB1, and miRNA is requiredFor thyroid cell proliferation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chromosome localization of the gene for human terminal deoxynucleotidyltransferase to region 10q23-q25.

TL;DR: The results of the Southern transfer analysis of hybrid DNAs indicate that the gene for TdT is located on human chromosome 10.7.7, and the in situ hybridization technique was used to further localize the genes for TtdT to region q23-q25 of human chromosome 12.
