TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of Ag nanoparticles in aqueous solution on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) reflectivity was reported using a laser ablation method.
Abstract: The effects of Ag nanoparticles in aqueous solution on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) reflectivity is reported. The nanoparticles aqueous solution was produced by laser ablation method. Using a "Kretchmann" configuration surface plasmon resonance sensor, the SPR angles shifted increase with the relative concentration of Ag nanoparticles and can be used to evaluate the Ag nanoparticles concentration of aqueous solution.

TL;DR: In this paper, the role of international actors in detail and how these states have contributed to the existing situation in Balochistan is analyzed and the research is an effort to categorically analyze the domestic as well as international factors behind the instability of Balochism.
Abstract: This paper attempts to analyze the role of international actors in detail and how these states have contributed to the existing situation in the province. Overall, the research is an effort to categorically analyze the domestic as well as international factors behind the instability in Balochistan. Balochistan prominently configures the foreign policies of different states due to the interests and stakes involved in the volatile province. In terms of the transnational factors, there are few factors which have enhanced the significance of the province in the contemporary times, like War on Terror and the emerging economic and geostrategic importance of the province. China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has increased the significance of Balochistan, also. At the same time, this increased significance has posed internal challenges for the inhabitants of the province who are of the view that the effects of the development should be visible across the board and the locals should be given their due share. The nationalist movement in Balochistan has developed greater contacts with their co-ethnics in the neighboring countries. Among the foreign powers, the role of India, Afghanistan, China, USA and the Middle East are of great concern.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify the most vulnerable areas of military activity such as defence procurement, use of defence lands, housing provision for military personnel and their families, state defence enterprise activity, and use of fuel.
Abstract: Using the approach of identifying ʽred flags’, the article analyses the most vulnerable areas of military activity such as defence procurement (acquisition); use of defence lands; housing provision for military personnel and their families; state defence enterprise activity; and use of fuel, to recognise the corruption risks and the consequences of improper activities in these areas for the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces.

TL;DR: By analysing the interaction between the factors affecting decision risk errors, it is pointed out that it is of great practical significance to ensure that the tests have sufficient statistical power, which is usually overlooked before in operational tests.
Abstract: The operational test, along with the evaluation based on it, is the most important decision-making basis for the Department of Defence in acquiring weapons and equipment. However, there has been relatively little attention to the credibility of its conclusions. In order to evaluate the decision-making risks quantitatively, the relationship between the two types of errors in the operational tests is studied. By analysing the interaction between the factors affecting decision risk errors, it is pointed out that it is of great practical significance to ensure that the tests have sufficient statistical power, which is usually overlooked before in operational tests.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the socio-economic factors prompting individuals to commit suicide in the region of Gilgit-Baltistan and found that forced marriages, educational pressures, financial crises, family conflicts and societal restrictions are the leading causes of the mounting suicides in the area.
Abstract: Suicide has emerged as a serious social issue in the region of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) due to consistently rising suicidal thoughts and actions among young people. However, suicidal behaviours remained an under-researched subject in Pakistan. Consequently, the growing suicidal inclination in the Gilgit-Baltistan region has not yet received the due consideration of policy analysts and social scientists in general. Meanwhile, suicide has emerged as a leading cause of death among youth and a major public health issue signifying serious problems in the socio-cultural system of the country. The current research explores the socio-economic factors prompting individuals to commit suicide. Furthermore, the study asks what role the GB government and other stakeholders of social policy are playing in understanding and eliminating the tendency of suicidal ideation. The research was conducted in the Ghizer district using qualitative research methodology. Case study data were collected using in-depth interviews with suicide survivors and friends, parents and family members of those who committed suicide. The findings of this research reveal that forced marriages, educational pressures, financial crises, family conflicts and societal restrictions are the leading causes of the mounting suicides in the region. The government was unable to formulate a specific social policy to comprehend the causes of suicides in the area, nor did it make any substantial intervention to end this endemic trend. Finally, the study suggests that there is a dire need to conduct culture-specific research on this vital issue to grasp the grassroots understanding in order to formulate successful policy interventions.
