TL;DR: A vision for the post-5G era of wireless communications is provided, which provides a systematic overview of emerging applications in wireless communications and suggests that machine-centric communications will now emerge as a new part of 6G networks.
Abstract: The fifth-generation (5G) of wireless communications was launched worldwide in 2020 with solid technical specifications and standards. Therefore, the focus of major vendors and academies is now switching towards deployment of beyond 5G (B5G) communications and 6G. As a result, provision and trends for global developments appear to outline requirements and services to satisfy future societal needs. This article provides a vision for the post-5G era of wireless communications, which serves as a research guide for scientists and commercial organizations. Current achievements of 5G New Radio (5G NR) are capable of bringing human-centric communications to their limit with applications such as Extended Reality (XR), Internet-of-Things (IoT), Smart Healthcare, 4K video streaming, etc. Therefore, we suggest that machine-centric communications will now emerge as a new part of 6G networks. To justify this perspective, we provide a systematic overview of emerging applications in wireless communications. We show how and why these services are possible by identifying key enabling technologies and advances in the manufacturing process. Further, we analyze trade-offs between solutions and required cost, which is essential for business model planning of 6G. Finally, issues behind the commercialization of future technologies, such as social and health factors, integration with existing networks, and inevitable performance limits from the basic sciences, are discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present various dimensions of the pandemic and after analytic discussion, puts forth some important suggestions for the reader that he resort lies in self-reliance, caution and adaptability.
Abstract: This study is an attempt to bring forth some of the human resource predicaments which will be ushered by the ubiquitous venom of the Corona Virus. Regardless of the deliberation operating at the back of Corona and the availability of the requisite vaccine, the executives need to adapt themselves with the new paradigm and contemplate on the enactment of novel and apposite ways of managing human capital. The global economy is feared to sink such that the world might be coerced to relive the 1930’s global recession; thus each economy is entwined in the cruel jaws of havoc. The study presents various dimensions of the pandemic and after analytic discussion, puts forth some important suggestions for the reader that he resort lies in self-reliance, caution and adaptability. Since the business activity is by and large a function of superior human capital, the HRM interventions need to be the most commensurate ones.

TL;DR: Both male and female recruits improved their physical fitness, but smaller gains were observed in women using the same training programme, revealing sex differences in adaptations to the standardised military training.
Abstract: Introduction Military training programmes are often similar for male and female recruits despite sex differences in physical performance that may influence training adaptations during military service. The present study aimed to compare changes in physical fitness and anthropometrics between Finnish female and male recruits during military service. Methods A total of 234 690 male and 3549 female recruits participated in fitness tests at the beginning and end of military service between 2005 and 2015. Anthropometric measurements were body mass, height, body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC). Fitness tests consisted 12 min running, standing long jump, and sit-ups and push-ups. Results No changes were observed in anthropometrics, while both sexes improved most of the fitness test results. After adjustment for service time, branch, age, initial fitness test results, BMI and WC, improvement in running test performance was 158 m (95% CI 142 to 173, p≤0.001) greater in male than female recruits. Similarly, improvements were larger in male recruits for push-ups (5 reps/min, 95% CI 5 to 6, p≤0.001), sit-ups (2 reps/min, 95% CI 2 to 3, p≤0.001) and standing long jump (12 cm, 95% CI 11 to 13, p≤0.001) when compared with women. Conclusions The study revealed sex differences in adaptations to the standardised military training. Both male and female recruits improved their physical fitness, but smaller gains were observed in women using the same training programme. The mechanisms explaining sex differences in adaptations to military training, and whether tailored training programmes are needed specifically for female recruits to reduce sex differences during military service, warrants further studies.

TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of corporate governance practices on shareholders' value represented by earning per share of 243 listed firms on Pakistani Bourse was examined and it was concluded that overall corporate governance tends to have significant impact on earnings per share and reveals dichotomy of governance practices based on direction of their association with share holders' value and terms them as value boosters and value dampers.
Abstract: Rampant corporate failures have placed corporate governance in the limelight again however not all governance practices help firms in enhancing value. This empirical research examines impact of corporate governance practices on shareholders' value represented by earning per share of 243 listed firms on Pakistani Bourse. It ensued in the conclusion that overall corporate governance tends to have significant impact on earnings per share and reveals dichotomy of corporate governance practices based on direction of their association with share holders' value and terms them as value boosters and value dampers. It has also been found that pro-entrenchment practices tend to lower earnings per share in the listed firms either due to complacency or vested interests while rest of the practices help in enhancing value earned on each share thus endorsing the theoretical perspectives emanating out of agency and shareholder activism theories. This study emphasizes the significance of Board Attendance, Board Independence, Non-duality of CEOChairman Role for listed firms' value. It also shows that entrenchment acts like larger boards, directors' ownership, large block holders and disclosure of such ownership can adversely impact the firms' value and thus play a significant role in scaring away the potential investors who primarily look at earnings per share for buying of stocks of a particular company. It entails policy implications that implementation of counter-entrenchment regulations needs strengthening as the existing seem to have cosmetic effect. Identification and implementation of good governance practices can be best ensured when propagated in the perspective of value enhancement.

Abstract: The paper primarily focuses on salient dynamics voiced for division of Punjab and establishment of Saraiki Province and is aiming to aware coming parliamentarians regarding the sensitive issue so that they can make themselves capable to develop skill to resolve such generic issues. The non-justifiable allocation and distribution of resources by the federal government not only created hatred between East and West Pakistan in 1971 but later on among four provinces of Pakistan as well. For the last more than seventy years, the inspirations of ethnicity and regionalism evoked by Pukhtoons, Baluchis, Muhajirs and Saraikis made the process of national integration complex and so politicized different socio-economic and issues concerning different people of different regions which sometimes led to civil war situations in Pakistan. Though state’s constitution provided equal rights and opportunities to all nationalities in all spheres of life. However the feeling of provincialism or regionalism awakens in the minds when the people of a particular area are continuously neglected by the ruling class and so they are politically educated as backward and discriminated people by their local leaders. In this way, these leaders keep political hold over the specified area and its people. Regional disparities in terms of revenue and consumptions have awakened the perception of ignorance and discrimination and this is the reason that PML (N) faced severe hurdles and the repatriation of its own parliamentarians as the Saraiki community has been continuously neglected by the Punjabi dominated Political Party in the National legislature.
