TLR9 and IL-1R1 Promote Mobilization of Pulmonary Dendritic Cells during Beryllium Sensitization
Morgan F. Wade,Morgan K. Collins,Denay J.K. Richards,Douglas G. Mack,Allison K. Martin,Charles A. Dinarello,Andrew P. Fontenot,Amy S. McKee +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the early events in the lung and LDLNs after pulmonary exposure to different physiochemical forms of beryllium were examined, and it was shown that soluble or crystalline forms of BeryllIUM induced alveolar macrophage death/release of IL-1α and DNA, enhanced migration of CD80hi DCs to the LDLNs, and sensitized HLA-DP2 transgenic mice after single low-dose exposures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential effects of interleukin-1 alpha and interleukin-1 beta on human peripheral blood eosinophils.
TL;DR: The results suggest that eosinophil subpopulations respond selectively to each form of IL-1, and specifically to the ability of mIL-1 to inhibit the oxidative response to suboptimal doses of phorbol myristate acetate (PMA).
Journal ArticleDOI
Role for interleukin-1 in the pathogenesis of hypersensitivity diseases.
TL;DR: The results indicate that increasing the amount of N‐fatty acids in the diet decreases the ability of blood mononuclear cells to synthesize IL‐1 in vitro, and it is suggested that the ameliorative effects of N-3 fatty acid dietary supplements in patients with hypersensitive diseases may be, in part, the result of decreased IL-1 production.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interleukin 37 expression in mice alters sleep responses to inflammatory agents and influenza virus infection.
Christopher J. Davis,Mark R. Zielinski,Danielle Dunbrasky,Ping Taishi,Charles A. Dinarello,James M. Krueger +5 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that conditions that promote IL-37 expression attenuate morbidity to severe inflammatory challenge and sleep responses developed slowly over the 6 day recording period.
Journal ArticleDOI
Circulating Leptin during Experimental Endotoxemia in Humans
TL;DR: There were no significant changes in leptin levels over time in either group, nor were there significant differences between groups.
