01 Oct 2016TL;DR: The use of the warped discrete Fourier transform for the time-frequency analysis of the signal on the audio-output of pulse-Doppler radar is examined in this article.
Abstract: Use of the warped discrete Fourier transform for the time-frequency analysis of the signal on the audio-output of pulse-Doppler radar is examined in this research. The discrete Fourier transform is calculated in points in z-plane that are equidistantly distributed on the unit circle, while the warped discrete Fourier transform is calculated in points that are unevenly distributed on the unit circle. The time-dependent warped discrete Fourier transform for the analysis of the simulated and measured radar signals from a walking human was applied in this research. The results of the time-frequency analysis of radar signals using this transformation are compared with the spectrogram. The results show that the application of the warped discrete Fourier transformation in the radar signal analysis provides a higher concentration of energy around the central Doppler frequency comparing to the spectrogram.

01 Nov 2019TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a hybrid threat model of hybrid threats and investigated actions for cybersecurity and cyber defence in conditions of increasing challenge of cyber-attacks and the limited capabilities to respond to this threat describing the process of creating and performance of EU Cyber Rapid Response Teams (CRRTs) and Mutual Assistance in Cyber Security, introducing novel approach to cybersecurity and Cyber defence at the EU level.
Abstract: The "rules of war" themselves have changed significantly. Nonmilitary options have come to play a greater role in achieving political and strategic goals and, in some situations, are greatly superior to the power of weapons. The role of mobile joint forces operating in an integrated reconnaissance and information environment is rising through the use of new opportunities now available to control and logistic systems [7]. The European Union (EU) and its Member States (MS) continue to face serious and acute threats, which are increasingly taking non-conventional forms, such as radicalization leading to terrorist attacks, chemical attacks, cyber-attacks or disinformation campaigns. All these actions have one thing in common - they seek to destabilize and endanger society and undermine core values. In connection with the foregoing authors created and presented the novel model of hybrid threats. Furthermore, within the same model authors investigate actions for cybersecurity and cyber defence in conditions of increasing challenge of cyber-attacks and the limited capabilities to respond to this threat describing the process of creation and performance of EU Cyber Rapid Response Teams (CRRTs) and Mutual Assistance in Cyber Security, introducing novel approach to cybersecurity and cyber defence at the EU level.

TL;DR: No sequence variations in the G6PD core promoter or in the 5′ UTR of these G6 PD‐deficient individuals are identified, which indicates that G 6PD deficiency is not associated with promoter mutations in theG6PD locus.
Abstract: In this study, we investigated whether glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) promoter mutations are responsible for G6PD deficiency. We analysed the G6PD proximal promoter and the 5' untranslated region (UTR) in 65 G6PD-deficient individuals, in which no mutations have been found in the G6PD gene coding sequences, using a nonradioactive polymerase chain reaction/single-strand conformation polymorphism (PCR/SSCP) analysis. We identified no sequence variations in the G6PD core promoter or in the 5' UTR of these G6PD-deficient individuals, which indicates that G6PD deficiency is not associated with promoter mutations in the G6PD locus.

TL;DR: In this article, it has been shown that in a local ring the Gorensteiness of the associated graded ring of a power of an ideal implies the girth of the ideal, provided it is Cohen-Macaulay and the ideal height is at least two.
Abstract: It has been proved by Herrmann, Ribbe and Schenzel that in a local ring the Gorensteiness of the associated graded ring of a power of an ideal implies the Gorensteiness of the associated graded ring of the ideal provided it is Cohen-Macaulay and the height of the ideal is at least two. We give a new proof to this theorem which covers also the height one case and so answer to a question of Herrmann, Ribbe and Schenzel whether their result holds for ideals of height one.
