TL;DR: Activity concentrations of (210)Pb, which is a ( 210)Po precursor in the (238)U-decay series, were measured in cigarette tobaccos to assess the radiological effects associated with the tobacco smoking for the smokers.
Abstract: Cigarette smoking is a source of radiation exposure due to the concentrations of natural radionuclides in the tobacco leaves. From the health point of view, measurement of (210)Pb and (210)Po contents in cigarette tobacco is important to assess the radiological effects associated with the tobacco smoking for the smokers. In the present study, activity concentrations of (210)Pb, which is a (210)Po precursor in the (238)U-decay series, were measured in cigarette tobaccos. Samples of nine different commonly sold brands of cigarette tobaccos were analysed by employing a planar high purity germanium (HPGe) low background detector. Activity concentrations of (210)Pb were measured from its gamma peak at 47 keV. Mean activity concentration of (210)Pb was measured to be 13 +/- 4 Bq kg(-1) from all samples analysed. The annual committed effective dose for a smoker and the collective committed effective dose corresponding to annual cigarettes production were estimated to be 64 +/- 20 microSv and 0.6 x 10(2) man-Sv, respectively.

TL;DR: It is shown that the suggested ANFIS, which has the ability to learn, has a possibility to imitate the decision-making process of the transport support officers and show thelevel of competence that is comparable with the level of their competence.
Abstract: The possibility for more confidential predictions, leaning on scientific methods and accomplishments of information technology leaves more time for the realization of logistic needs. Longstanding ambitions to acquire desired levels of efficiency within the system with minimal costs of resources, materials, energy and money are the features of executive structures of logistic systems. A successful logistic process is based on validation of technological development, indicating the need for a faster and more confidential integration of logistic systems and "instilling confidence" with military units that provide critical support (supply, transport and maintenance) will be reliably realized according to relevance and priority. Conclusions like these impose the necessity that the decision-making process of logistic organs is accessed carefully and systematically, since any wrong decision leads to a reduced state of readiness for military units. To facilitate the day-to-day operation of the Army of Serbia and the completion of both scheduled and unscheduled tasks it is necessary to satisfy the wide range of transport requirements. In this paper, the Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is described, thus making possible a strategy of coordination of transport assets to formulate an automatic control strategy. This model successfully imitates the decision-making process of the chiefs of logistic support. As a result of the research, it is shown that the suggested ANFIS, which has the ability to learn, has a possibility to imitate the decision-making process of the transport support officers and show the level of competence that is comparable with the level of their competence.

TL;DR: In this article, a model of a thin straight strip with a uniformly curved section and with different uniform boundary conditions on the opposite edges subjected to the homogeneous magnetic field is theoretically analyzed within the framework of the linear Schrodinger equation and is applied to the study of the processes in the bent magnetic multilayers and superconducting films.
Abstract: A model of a thin straight strip with a uniformly curved section and with different uniform boundary conditions on the opposite edges subjected to the homogeneous magnetic field $\mathbf{B}$ is theoretically analyzed within the framework of the linear Schr\"odinger equation and is applied to the study of the processes in the bent magnetic multilayers and superconducting films. In particular, for the inner Dirichlet and outer Neumann boundaries, it is shown that bend-induced enhancement of the superconductivity survives in the magnetic field with the order parameter $\ensuremath{\Psi}(\mathbf{r})$ being pushed stronger and stronger to the Neumann surface with increasing $B$ and, simultaneously, the area where the nucleation of the superconductivity takes place is spread more and more in the straight arms. Various magnetotransport properties of the film such as interference blockade of the supercurrent flow at some special field-dependent temperatures are also discussed with special attention being paid to the formation and evolution of the vortices, which appear as a result of the bend-induced interaction between the different subbands; it is shown, in particular, that the number of vortices decreases with the field and some of them transform into the antivortices. A proof of the very close analogy between two kinds of strips, (1) pure Dirichlet condition on both edges and (2) inner Dirichlet and outer Neumann requirements, derived earlier for $B=0$ is extended to the case of nonzero fields.
