Normalizing tumor microenvironment with nanomedicine and metronomic therapy to improve immunotherapy

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors employed a mathematical framework to show that pre-treatment with a normalizing dose of Doxil can improve the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibition, and showed that the approved nanomedicine Dioxil can induce normalization in a dose-dependent manner by improving tumor perfusion as a result of tissue softening.
Journal ArticleDOI

3-Azido-3-deoxy-glycopyranoside derivatives as scaffolds for the synthesis of carbohydrate-based universal pharmacophore mapping libraries.

TL;DR: The regiospecific syntheses of six monosaccharide scaffolds, 1-6, containing a carboxylic acid, an azido and a free hydroxyl group were accomplished through the utilization of a key intermediate, namely, methyl 3-azido-3-deoxy-beta-D-glucopyranoside.

Degradation of p-hydroxybenzoate via protocatechuate in Arthrobacter protophormiae RKJ100 and Burkholderia cepacia RKJ200

TL;DR: Two bacterial strains isolated from pesticide-contaminated agricultural fields and identified as Arthrobacter protophormiae and Burkholderia cepacia were found to be capable of utilizing p-hydroxybenzoate (PHB) as a sole source of carbon and energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sclerosing polycystic adenosis of parotid gland: a cytological diagnostic dilemma

TL;DR: A case of SPCA is reported in a male patient with aspiration cytology findings, which is a pseudo-neoplastic lesion of the major salivary glands with histological similarity to fibrocystic disease of the breast.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct, ESR observation of the localized biradical 1,3-dimethyl-1,3-cyclobutadiyl

TL;DR: Observation directe de l'etat triplet du compose cite dans le titre par spectroscopie RPE et etude de ses comportements thermiques as discussed by the authors.
