Losartan prevents tumor-induced hearing loss and augments radiation efficacy in NF2 schwannoma rodent models
Limeng Wu,Sasa Vasilijic,Yao Sun,Jie Chen,Lukas D. Landegger,Yanling Zhang,Wenjianlong Zhou,Jun Ren,Samuel Early,Samuel Early,Zhenzhen Yin,William Ho,Na Zhang,Na Zhang,Xing Gao,Grace Y. Lee,Meenal Datta,Jessica E. Sagers,Alyssa Brown,Alona Muzikansky,Anat Stemmer-Rachamimov,Luo Zhang,Scott R. Plotkin,Rakesh K. Jain,Konstantina M. Stankovic,Lei Xu +25 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a prospective clinical trial of losartan in patients with neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) caused by vestibular schwannomas (VSs) was conducted.
Journal ArticleDOI
High spectral uniformity of AlGaN with a high Al content evidenced by scanning near-field photoluminescence spectroscopy
TL;DR: In this article, near-field photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy was applied to study spatial variations of emission spectra of AlxGa1−xN epilayers with 0.6≤x≤0.7.
Journal ArticleDOI
Early changes in glioblastoma metabolism measured by MR spectroscopic imaging during combination of anti-angiogenic cediranib and chemoradiation therapy are associated with survival.
Ovidiu C. Andronesi,Morteza Esmaeili,Ronald Borra,Ronald Borra,Ronald Borra,Kyrre E. Emblem,Elizabeth R. Gerstner,Marco Da Cunha Pinho,Scott R. Plotkin,Andrew S. Chi,April F. Eichler,Jorg Dietrich,S. Percy Ivy,Patrick Y. Wen,Dan G. Duda,Rakesh K. Jain,Bruce R. Rosen,Gregory A. Sorensen,Tracy T. Batchelor +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, a prospective longitudinal imaging study in newly diagnosed glioblastoma patients enrolled in a phase II clinical trial of the pan-vascular endothelial growth factor receptor inhibitor cediranib in combination with standard fractionated radiation and temozolomide (chemoradiation) showed that the ratio of total choline to healthy creatine after 1 month of treatment was significantly associated with overall survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Is vasculogenesis crucial for the regrowth of irradiated tumours
TL;DR: The authors' conclusion that vasculogenesis has been shown to be crucial for the growth of tumours that recur after radiotherapy is questioned.
Journal ArticleDOI
Psychological disturbances in Indian children with atopic eczema.
TL;DR: It is suggested that children with AD may benefit if such psychological dimensions are considered as a part of their treatment, despite the fact that the disease is of a milder variety in this country as compared to its western counterparts.
