Build-up of an antimicrobial multilayer coating on a textile support based on a methylene blue-poly(cyclodextrin) complex.

TL;DR: In this article, an antibacterial multilayer coating activated with methylene blue (MB) and based on chitosan (CHT) and cyclodextrin polyelectrolyte (polyCD) was applied on a nonwoven polyethylene terephthalate (PET) textile support.

Bilirubin adsorption properties of water-soluble adsorbents with different cyclodextrin cavities in plasma dialysis system

TL;DR: The use of α-, β- or γ-cyclodextrin (CD)-grafted polyethyleneimine (PEI) as water-soluble adsorbent as an effective agent for removing of bilirubin from plasma in dialysis system demonstrated the potential of β-CD-PEI.

Nanocarriers and Microcarriers for Enhancing the UV Protection of Sunscreens: An Overview.

TL;DR: An up-to-date overview on the different nanocarrier systems that have been explored so far for encapsulating different types of UV filters present on the market, ranging from classical UV filters to new generation of UV actives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhanced dissolution and stability of lansoprazole by cyclodextrin inclusion complexation: preparation, characterization, and molecular modeling.

TL;DR: The dissolution rate and stability of LSP was dramatically enhanced by inclusion complexation regardless of CD type, and the enhanced photostability was due to the inclusion of the sulfinyl moiety into the HPCD cavity.

Increased shelf‐life of fosphenytoin: Solubilization of a degradant, phenytoin, through complexation with (SBE)7m‐β‐CD

TL;DR: It was projected from the solubility of phenytoin and the kinetic information that fosphenytoin shelf lives as high as nine years at 25 degreesC and pH 7.4 in the presence of 60 mM of (SBE)7m-beta-CD might be possible while longer shelf lives may be possible at pH 8.0.
