Journal ArticleDOI

Tumor-Infiltrating CD8+ Lymphocytes Predict Clinical Outcome in Breast Cancer

TL;DR: It is suggested that tumor-infiltrating CD8(+) T lymphocytes have antitumor activity as judged by their favorable effect on patients' survival and could potentially be exploited in the treatment of breast cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multiple independent variants at the TERT locus are associated with telomere length and risks of breast and ovarian cancer

Stig E. Bojesen, +455 more
- 01 Apr 2013 -
TL;DR: Using the Illumina custom genotyping array iCOGs, SNPs at the TERT locus in breast, ovarian and BRCA1 mutation carrier cancer cases and controls and leukocyte telomere measurements are analyzed to find associations cluster into three independent peaks.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of 12 new susceptibility loci for different histotypes of epithelial ovarian cancer

Catherine M. Phelan, +443 more
- 01 May 2017 -
TL;DR: Integrated analyses of genes and regulatory biofeatures at each locus predicted candidate susceptibility genes, including OBFC1, a new candidate susceptibility gene for low-grade and borderline serous EOC.
Journal ArticleDOI

High frequency of coexistence of columnar cell lesions, lobular neoplasia, and low grade ductal carcinoma in situ with invasive tubular carcinoma and invasive lobular carcinoma.

TL;DR: The findings support the hypothesis that CCLs are associated with pure and mixed forms of TC, and that LN is involved in ILC development, and suggest that these lesions represent family members of low grade precursor, in situ and invasive neoplastic lesions of the breast.
