26 Jun 2020TL;DR: In this article, the problem of two equal collinear cracks is analytically studied for two-dimensional arbitrarily polarized magneto-electro-elastic materials, and the Stroh's formalism and complex variable methodology is utilized to reduce the problem into nonhomogeneous Riemann Hilbert problem.
Abstract: In this paper, the problem of two equal collinear cracks is analytically studied for two-dimensional (2D) arbitrarily polarized magneto-electro-elastic materials. The electric and magnetic poling directions make arbitrary angles with the crack
line. The Stroh’s formalism and complex variable methodology is utilized to reduce the problem into non-homogeneous
Riemann Hilbert problem. This numerical problem is then comprehended with the Riemann Hilbert way to obtain the
intensity factors for stress, electric displacement and magnetic induction. A numerical contextual analysis is displayed for
the BaTiO3 −CoFe2O4 composite. The numerical examination demonstrates that the change in electric/magnetic poling
directions influences the intensity factors

TL;DR: In this paper, a dual-band patch antenna with microstrip-fed is presented for wireless communication bands, which yields two resonance frequency bands centred at 3.56 GHz and 5.11 GHz.
Abstract: A novel compact dualband patch antenna with microstrip-fed is presented in this paper for wireless communication bands. The proposed antenna has small geometry with dimensions of W×L (20×30 mm2) and printed on commercially available FR-4 substrate. The basic radiating element of antenna is rectangular shape patch, which is printed on the top layer of the substrate. Radiating patch is exited by 50 Ω microstrip line. Ground plane is located on the bottom side of the substrate which is made defective by etching two T- shaped slots. This antenna yields two resonance frequency bands centred at 3.56 GHz and 5.11 GHz. The simulated -10 dB return loss shows that bandwidth for lower frequency band is 13.4% (3.28-3.76 GHz) and for upper frequency band is 10.7% (4.86-5.41 GHz). This prototype is well suitable for WiMAX and WLAN wireless applications. To understand the effect of the parameters on antenna performance a parametric study is also carried out.

01 Jul 2018TL;DR: The DPFC is the modified version of Unified power Flow Controller (UPFC) by terminating its interconnection using dc-link capacitor and applies the D-FACTS concepts in series control convertor and STATCOM like control in parallel convertor.
Abstract: A recently new proposed control structure for improvement for Power Quality in power-systems has introduced an extension for FACTS, known as Distributed Power Flow Controller. This device controls the system behavior under defective conditions by controlling series and parallel convertors associated with it. The DPFC is the modified version of Unified power Flow Controller (UPFC) by terminating its interconnection using dc-link capacitor. It applies the D-FACTS concepts in series control convertor and STATCOM like control in parallel convertor. The power transferring is bi-directional between two convertors with the help of X-mission line. The controlling capacity of DPFC is as same for UPFC and additionally it is much convenient and cheaper than UPFC. In this presented paper DPFC is used for mitigating power fluctuations during unbalance fault. The simulation model and its results are evaluated using MATLAB/SIMULINK and validates its ability for PQ improvement.

01 Dec 2013TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of a 2.25 MW wind farm at Devgarh in Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan was studied, and the results confirmed that wind farm performance could be further increased by improving grid availability, and machine availability of the wind turbines.
Abstract: Performance of 2.25 MW wind farm at Devgarh in Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan was studied. Parameters of analysis were energy production, capacity factor, machine availability, grid availability, and system availability of three wind turbines installed at site. The data for year 2011, and 2012 of wind farm were used in calculations. The results of this study confirm that wind farm performance could be further increased by improving grid availability, and machine availability of the wind turbines.
