TL;DR: The Matlab®/Simulink result shows that the LQR control method provides better control response compared to PID and pole placement method and thus provides reliable operation to Medical Robots.
Abstract: A novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is transmitting throughout the globe. During this Pandemic situation, medical robots are playing an important role in protecting front line medical staff from this disease. The flexible robotic manipulator has mechanical flexibility, due to that fluctuation or oscillations can be seen either during or after the movement of a manipulator and can create uncertainty in medical operations. During this pandemic situation, reliable operations of these robots are necessary that depend upon the stability of flexible manipulators. In this article, Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR), Pole Placement, and Proportional-Integral-Derivatives (PID) control methods have been used to investigate the robust control method for controlling the position of manipulator with flexible link in medical robots. To carry out this research, an effective variant of the flexible Link robotic manipulator has been used as a framework to analyze the robust control method. The Matlab®/Simulink result shows that the LQR control method provides better control response compared to PID and pole placement method and thus provides reliable operation to Medical Robots.

17 Jul 2019TL;DR: In the proposed model, three techniques for dispersion compensation (per, post, and mix) has been designed using dispersion Compensation fiber (DCF) in 8 channel WDM using 5 Gbps transmission data rate model.
Abstract: The Requirement of system capacity is increasing due to the rise in the number of computer users. This can be achieved by optical communication using WDM technology. Using WDM technology multiply many carrier signals onto a single optical fiber using different wavelength to boost up capacity. Dispersion effects the transmission of the signal along an optical fiber. In the proposed model, three techniques for dispersion compensation (per, post, and mix) has been designed using dispersion compensation fiber (DCF) in 8 channel WDM. According to this topology with the help of 5 Gbps transmission data rate model is compared non-return-to-zero (NRZ), return-to-zero (RZ) pulse in which signal mode fiber (SMF) has been considered using the length of 120 km. The results such as Q-factor and bit error rate (BER) represent pre-compensation scheme using RZ gives better results and also output power at EDFA calculate using optisystem 7.0 software.

TL;DR: In this article, an analysis of solar PV, Small Wind Turbine hybrid energy system for application at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan is presented, where three different cases of hybrid energy systems are considered ranging from 5 kW to 100 kW.
Abstract: This paper presents analysis of solar PV, Small Wind Turbine hybrid energy system for application at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan Three different cases of hybrid energy system is considered ranging from 5 kW to 100 kW Case 1 include 4 kW solar PV and 1 kW small wind turbine, while Case 2 consider a 41 kW solar PV and three 3 kW Wind Turbine (total size 50 kW), and Case 3 includes the 100 kW system incorporating 70 kW Solar PV and 30 kW Wind Energy The HOMER simulation was utilized to calculate total energy production, various cost of system, economic, and financial feasibility of all three cases The financial feasibility in term of payback period and Internal Rate of Return in calculated using RETScreen software All three cases are environmental friendly with reduced emission as compared to diesel / grid supply and economically feasible for various application

Abstract: Abstract Recently the authors obtained several Laplace transforms of convolution type integrals involving Kummer’s function 1F1 [Appl. Anal. Discrete Math., 2018, 12(1), 257-272]. In this paper, the authors aim at presenting several new and interesting Laplace transforms of convolution type integrals involving product of two special generalized hypergeometric functions pFp by employing classical summation theorems for the series 2F1, 3F2, 4F3 and 5F4 available in the literature.
