TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical model is proposed to characterize the anomalous subdiffusion of cytosolic calcium incorporating conformable derivative with respect to the time variable and fractal derivative in terms of the space variable.
Abstract: In the present work, we investigate the calcium signaling in cardiac myocytes. On the basis of the concept of anomalous diffusion, a mathematical model is proposed to characterize the anomalous subdiffusion of cytosolic calcium incorporating conformable derivative with respect to the time variable and fractal derivative with respect to the space variable. Problem has been solved using the Crank-Nicolson finite difference scheme for numerical approximation. The numerical simulation for the solution of the developed model is presented graphically for the various values of the fractal dimension and order of the fractional derivative.

01 Dec 2018TL;DR: This paper provides an analytical survey of the islanding detection techniques for the distributed generation systems based on features, such as detection time, size of non-detection zone, power quality disturbances, system cost and operation under multiple distributed generation units.
Abstract: This paper provides an analytical survey of the islanding detection techniques for the distributed generation systems. Islanding phenomena on takes place when the power supply from the main utility is intermittent due to numerous reasons, but the distributed generation keeps supplying power into the distribution networks. Islanding can be dangerous to workers and electrical equipment, even the power grid. Therefore, islanding detection is the priority among priorities. Islanding detection is a precondition of two working modes switching for distributed generation. In this paper, a detailed description followed by the classification of the islanding detection techniques has been made based on features, such as detection time, size of non-detection zone, power quality disturbances, system cost and operation under multiple distributed generation units. The merits and demerits of islanding detection methods are analyzed and summarized in this paper. In this manner, the greatest detection outcome can be achieved by exploiting the merits of each method. This paper is aimed to serve as a convenient reference and guidance value for deciding the islanding detection method for future islanding users in distributed generation system.

07 Apr 2016TL;DR: In this article, the public opinion of the people of three villages (Gajner, Kolayat and Nokha) on solar energy technology is discussed, and the survey is based on "Qualitative and Quantitative" methodology to explore public opinion and impact of technology on their day to day life.
Abstract: Social acceptance is important for large scale implementation of new technologies such as renewable energy technology. Positive public opinion/participation is a must for adoption of technology such as solar energy technology and implementation of government policies. In this paper the public opinion of the people of three villages (Gajner, Kolayat and Nokha) on solar energy technology is discussed. The three villages are situated near Bikaner town of Rajasthan, India. These villages are in the proximity of number of solar power plants. The survey is based on “Qualitative and Quantitative” methodology to explore public opinion and impact of technology on their day to day life. The study concerned is about survey of 172 persons, who are residing near solar PV power plants in these villages. The questionnaire contains 14 questions to every person and answers have been obtained after interviewing them personally. This sample study shows that about 91.27% residents are in favour of establishment of new solar power plant near their agriculture fields and 91% respondents would like to install roof top solar panels for their domestic power needs. 89% respondents of these villages believed that this power plant provides electricity and job opportunities. However 7% opined that solar power plant is not beneficial for them.
