Abstract
During the past decade, design-based research has demonstrated its potential as a methodology suitable to both research and design of technology-enhanced learning environments (TELEs). In this paper, we define and identify characteristics of design-based research, describe the importance of design-based research for the development of TELEs, propose principles for implementing design-based research with TELEs, and discuss future challenges of using this methodology. Changing the Educational Beliefs of Teachers through an Interdisciplinary Online Teaching Programme: Are Business Teachers Different from Teachers of other Disciplines?

TL;DR: In this paper, an online teacher training program in a cross-institutional partnership was followed by 16 business teachers from three institutes, working with 49 teachers from other disciplines, using the Teacher Beliefs and Intentions questionnaire and TPACK questionnaire using a pre-post test design.

Mostla for engineering education: part 2 emerging technologies

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the services offered by centers devoted to promoting the use of emerging technologies (ET) in their communities and found that it is necessary to design memorable learning experiences with ETs to accomplish the development of competencies such as critical thinking, research, creativity and innovative capacity.

Tackling Indigenous Incarceration Through Promoting Engagement with Higher Education

TL;DR: The Making the Connection project as mentioned in this paper aims to assist incarcerated students to develop critical thinking skills, digital literacies and the capacity for self-reflection in order to enhance the prospects for employment on release and promote positive connection to families and communities.

Educational programs for learning to observe movement quality in physical therapy: a design-based research approach

TL;DR: Design principles for an educational program for the development of observational skills are derived and a proto-theory underpinned with underlying educational theories is developed, suggesting students need to take the lead in their own learning process to learn observational skills.

Design Experiments: Theoretical and Methodological Challenges in Creating Complex Interventions in Classroom Settings

TL;DR: The lion's share of my current research program is devoted to the study of learning in the blooming, buzzing confusion of inner-city classrooms, and central to the enterprise is that the classroom must function smoothly as a learning environment before the authors can study anything other than the myriad possible ways that things can go wrong.

Design Experiments in Educational Research

TL;DR: Design experiments have both a pragmatic bent and a theoretical orientation as mentioned in this paper, developing domain-specific theories by systematically studying those forms of learning and the means of supporting them, and the authors clarify what is involved in preparing for and carrying out a design experiment, and conduct a retrospective analysis of the extensive, longitudinal data sets generated during an experiment.
