Abstract
During the past decade, design-based research has demonstrated its potential as a methodology suitable to both research and design of technology-enhanced learning environments (TELEs). In this paper, we define and identify characteristics of design-based research, describe the importance of design-based research for the development of TELEs, propose principles for implementing design-based research with TELEs, and discuss future challenges of using this methodology. The green B&B promotion strategies for tourist loyalty: surveying the restart of Chinese national holiday travel after COVID-19

TL;DR: In this article, the authors empirically analyze green/healthy B&B promotion strategies for tourism recovery after the first wave of COVID-19, and find that green and healthy physical environment, well-being perception (WBP), tourist satisfaction (TS), and tourist loyalty (TL) provide a better understanding of how to support sustainable tourism recovery.

A systematic review of flipped classroom empirical evidence from different fields: what are the gaps and future trends?

TL;DR: A systematic literature review and content analysis were used as a methodology to investigate positive impacts and challenges of flipped classroom implementation as discussed by the authors, which revealed that the flipped classroom yielded positive impacts on students' learning activities such as academic performance, learning motivation and engagement, social interaction and self-directed learning skills.

Using a design-based research study to identify principles for training instructors to teach online

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on a study that focused on evaluating an online training course for online instructors, which was designed as a possible solution to the problem facing some higher education institutions of how to provide quality, accessible training for mostly part-time instructors who are making the transition to teaching online.

Design Experiments: Theoretical and Methodological Challenges in Creating Complex Interventions in Classroom Settings

TL;DR: The lion's share of my current research program is devoted to the study of learning in the blooming, buzzing confusion of inner-city classrooms, and central to the enterprise is that the classroom must function smoothly as a learning environment before the authors can study anything other than the myriad possible ways that things can go wrong.

Design Experiments in Educational Research

TL;DR: Design experiments have both a pragmatic bent and a theoretical orientation as mentioned in this paper, developing domain-specific theories by systematically studying those forms of learning and the means of supporting them, and the authors clarify what is involved in preparing for and carrying out a design experiment, and conduct a retrospective analysis of the extensive, longitudinal data sets generated during an experiment.
