TL;DR: In this paper, the use of nanostructured TiO2 as mixed phase photocatalyst in the synthesis of 2H-pyrano/2H-thiopyrano [2,3-b]quinoline-2-carboxylic acid (2a/2b) is described.
Abstract: The use of nanostructured TiO2 as mixed phase photocatalyst in the synthesis of 2H-pyrano/2H-thiopyrano [2,3-b]quinoline-2-carboxylic acid (2a/2b) is described. The binding modes of 2a/2b with ds DNA fragments d(CGCGAATTCGCG) were predicted by molecular docking studies. The lowest energy was found in the compound 2b with a binding energy of -7.44 Kcal/mol and inhibition constant of 5.39 x e-6. The interaction study with CT DNA was carried out by absorption spectra, (Kb constant obtained for 2a is 3.5x106 and for 2b it is 2.9x105), viscosity and thermal denaturation methods. The in vitro antioxidant activities were evaluated. Finally, the results showed that the intercalated 2a/2b compounds are strong antioxidants and they protect oxidative DNA damage from harmful free radicals.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new protocol for the synthesis of a heterogeneous palladium nanocomposite stabilized with a terephthalic acid-derived ligand (N,N-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)terephthalohydrazide).
Abstract: A new protocol is reported for the synthesis of a heterogeneous palladium nanocomposite stabilized with a terephthalic acid-derived ligand (N,N-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)terephthalohydrazide). This is a highly insoluble ligand in common organic solvents, except dimethylformamide and dimethylsulfoxide. The resulting palladium nanocomposite acts as an efficient catalyst precursor for Mizoroki–Heck coupling reactions conducted under various reaction conditions. The spectral data suggest that the rate, yield and recycling of the catalyst are more effective for C–C coupling reactions. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

01 Dec 2021TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of hybrid nanofluids flowing over a semi-spherical porous fin was examined using Darcy's model and the nonlinear form of an ordinary differential equation (ODE) along with boundary conditions was resolved using RKF 45 method.
Abstract: Semi-spherical fins are widely considered to be one of the best thermal exchangers available. It is widely employed, including aero planes, chemicals and electronic kits and porous medium is an extensive application that includes drying efficiency enhancement, filtering insulations, hydraulic oils, reactor temperature control and solar collectors. With these applications in perspective, the current study uses Darcy’s model to examine the performance of hybrid nanofluids flowing over a semi-spherical porous fin. Additionally, temperature dependent internal heat generating condition, natural convection and radiation effects are also taken into account. The nonlinear form of an ordinary differential equation (ODE) along with boundary conditions is resolved using RKF 45 method. The numerical results are obtained for various physical constraints and the impact of these constraints on fin surface temperature is discussed via graphs. The results show that increasing an internal heat generation parameter raises temperature, whereas the opposite is true for radiation and convective parameters. Furthermore, the temperature of the hybrid nanofluid is consistently higher than the temperature of the nanofluid.
