TLDR
In this paper, the transverse momentum (p_T) spectrum of prompt D0 mesons and their antiparticles has been measured via the hadronic decay channels D^0 → K^−π+ and D^‾0 → k^+π^− in pp and PbPb collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 5.02

Measurement of nuclear modification factors of gamma(1S)), gamma(2S), and gamma(3S) mesons in PbPb collisions at root s(NN)=5.02 TeV

Albert M. Sirunyan, +2311 more
- 10 Mar 2019 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the nuclear modification factors, derived from the PbPb-to-p p ratio of yields for each state, were studied as functions of meson rapidity and transverse momentum, as well as collision centrality.

Linearized Boltzmann-Langevin model for heavy quark transport in hot and dense QCD matter

TL;DR: In this paper, a hybrid transport model was developed to combine the strengths of both of these approaches: heavy quarks scatter with medium partons using matrix-elements calculated in perturbative QCD, while between these discrete hard scatterings they evolve using a Langevin equation with empirical transport coefficients to capture the nonperturbative soft part of the interaction.

Heavy quark production and properties of Quark-Gluon Plasma

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compare precision measurements of HQ hadron production in heavy-ion collisions with realistic phenomenological model calculations, the goal is to understand interactions and dynamics of HQ propagating through the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) medium and furthermore to characterize the QGP with emergent QCD transport parameters and their temperature dependence.

Centrality and transverse momentum dependence of D0 -meson production at mid-rapidity in Au + Au collisions at s NN =200 GeV

Jaroslav Adam, +356 more
- 20 Mar 2019 -
TL;DR: Adam et al. as mentioned in this paper reported a new measurement of D0-meson production at mid-rapidity (|y|l1) in Au + Au collisions at sNN=200GeV utilizing the heavy flavor tracker at the STAR experiment.

The CMS experiment at the CERN LHC

S. Chatrchyan, +3175 more
TL;DR: The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN as mentioned in this paper was designed to study proton-proton (and lead-lead) collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV (5.5 TeV nucleon-nucleon) and at luminosities up to 10(34)cm(-2)s(-1)

An Introduction to PYTHIA 8.2

TL;DR: Pythia 8.2 is the second main release after the complete rewrite from Fortran to C++, and now has reached such a maturity that it offers a complete replacement for most applications, notably for LHC physics studies.
