TL;DR: In this paper, a silver halide photographic light sensitive material has been described, which has a luminous emulsion layer optically sensitized with a sensitizing dye having a maximum spectral sensitivity in the region of at least 700 nm.
Abstract: Disclosed is a silver halide photographic light sensitive material which has a silver halide emulsion layer optically sensitized with a sensitizing dye having a maximum spectral sensitivity in the region of at least 700 nm, said emulsion layer containing at least one compound represented by the following formula (I) or at least one compound represented by the general formula (I) and at least one compound represented by the general formula (II) in combination: ##STR1## (wherein R 1 and R 2 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an amino group, an acylamido group or a sulfonamido group and sum of carbon atom numbers of R 1 and R 2 is 3 or more.); ##STR2## (wherein R 3 represents an alkyl group of at least 3 carbon atoms or an aryl group).

TL;DR: It is shown that the proposed adaptive MLSE has a capability of excellent tracking performance in a severe environment caused by fast time-varying ISI, for example frequency selective multipath fading in digital mobile radio communications.
Abstract: This paper proposes an adaptive maximum-likelihood sequence estimator (MLSE), which is a suboptimum approximation to the adaptive maximum-likelihood detector and is capable of tracking fast time-varying intersymbol interference (ISI) channels. The adaptive MLSE consists of a channel estimator and an MLSE implemented by the Viterbi algorithm (VA). The novel feature of the proposed adaptive MLSE is a channel estimation scheme, where the channel estimation is accomplished for each state in the VA along the surviving path connected to each state. This MLSE makes it possible to estimate a channel impulse response without an influence of a decision delay inherent in the VA, and the performance and complexity of the proposed procedure is controlled by the memory length of the VA. The bit error rate performance of the proposed MLSE is confirmed by experimental results. It is shown that the proposed MLSE has a capability of excellent tracking performance in a severe environment caused by fast time-varying ISI, for example frequency selective multipath fading in digital mobile radio communications. >

TL;DR: An IC memory card has a connector that cannot warp during the manufacturing process even if the connector is long as mentioned in this paper, such as a connector at one longer side of the IC card with an increased number of poles.
Abstract: An IC memory card has a connector that cannot warp during the manufacturing process even if the connector is long, such as a connector at one longer side of the IC memory card with an increased number of poles. The IC memory card has grooves in the surfaces of a flange portion of the connector body opposing a surface with which the connection with an external unit is established, the grooves being adjacent the connector body and extending lengthwise along all of the longer side of the IC memory card for preventing warping.
